I mean, I personally can’t taste the difference between sour cream and skyr, so for me, there’s never an “excuse” to eat it. Same goes for pb2 vs peanut butter
With that said, sour cream isn’t that much more caloric than full fat Greek yoghurt, just has fat less protein
You don’t need excuses to eat things.
But you know that.
I was busy when the substitutes conversation started and decided not to respond, but now that it’s the weekend and I’m procrastinating paperwork I was also too busy to do during the week, I want to say that wherever possible I prefer to eat real food and adjust my diet accordingly, and (confession) arrogantly believe everyone else should, too. Exceptions for me are sugar free gum and diet coke, which I have not been able to knock (which I believe I should knock - confession). But a piece of cheese? How does one not determine that this is causing undue fat or calories and not just simply reduce the amount and then enjoy the actual food?
Some of this has to do with my observation that I use more of products like lite dressing, some of it to do with the awful taste and texture of some of these foods.
In fact, I will expand this to say that I prefer real things in general. I don’t understand fake breasts and other surgical insertions (would never become involved with a man who’d had pec implants), prefer a live male to a plastic implement, like honest, vulnerable people vs people who project a facade, like to be outside in the real outside vs resort-type places, etc.
I will, however, further confess that I really like the low carb, high protien wraps I’ve been buying, which by some sorcerer’s magic taste like a real wrap, at only 60 calories. They also fill in nicely for tortillas.
But other than those, the diet cokes, the Orbitz bubblemint gum - no fake stuff for anyone!
I bought myself a second 24kg kettlebell. The purchase makes absolutely no sense because I already have pairs of 32 and 16kgs, the latter being an impulse buy in Lidl out of a general principle.
But everyone was talking about the great kettlebell shortage ™ so I clicked “notify me when this item becomes available” and well…they did notify me.
This purchase will probably upset the wife, because I’m pretty sure she can count to six.
I started perusing the front page of Reddit recently–it’s a convenient distraction while walking on the treadmill. I confess I don’t understand the half of it that concerns video games and/or internet memes too inside-baseball for someone not on social media to get. I cull cute baby or dog videos–or better still, cute baby and dog videos–to forward to my daughter. I finally joined the other day so I could comment on r/Ophthalmology, but won’t be commenting elsewhere.
I feel this way whenever I see a tub of N.O. Xplode. Used that stuff for years.
Love the new Avi, BethieDear!
I noticed that too! Her arms look better then mine ![]()
She is a BadAss after all-
Politely agree sir.
So that’s how they getcha? I’ll stay alert for that.
I did follow a link once, which led to another, which led to some vegans protesting a chicken plant, wherein they locked themselves to the process machinery and… It didn’t go There, but it almost did.
Anyhow, I’m surprised it didn’t take then.
I think that when I keep getting prompted to download the app I become put off by it.
Shockingly I actually lift - I’m not just the troll who derails threads
Oh I know. I lift too! Which makes my statement even that much more sad ![]()
Got my kids this weekend… they wanted pizza. Went to this new place and it’s a giant pizza. So wild.
I’m ashamed to say I at juuuuust shy of 3 complete pieces lol they hang off plates on all 3 corners ![]()
You have dishonored everyone on this forum and their ancestors.
I honestly wanted to eat the whole thing, but I couldn’t lol
Is that a 24" pizza?
If it were from the shop down the street from me I could eat half of it, but the pepperoni has to be crisp around the edges or I lose interest.
Yes, 24”! I can eat a normal L from papa johns, and these 3 pieces felt like much more
From my relatively brief experience there, you’re not really missing much. It’s best used if you’re into niche subjects that don’t have a large online presence elsewhere (e.g. growing aquatic carnivorous plants). The big subreddits for fitness, lifting, etc all tend to be extremely dogmatic and will downvote you for saying anything slightly unconventional or counter-intuitive.
Oh, yeah. The area of a 24" pizza is much greater than a 16".
Edit: Not being able to let go of the pizza math, I sought out an online circle calculator.
Turns out that the area of a 16 inch pizza is approx. 201 Sq. Inches.
But!
On a 24 inch pie it is more than double, at about 452 square inches.
So you probably ate about the same amount as you usually would.
Yeah. My 2 other main interests are ridiculously thoroughly covered.
