Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

Ideally, I’d have a tool crib like a lot of industrial/fab shops have but it would be filled with kitchen gadgets, and a prep area with various heat sources.

Pretty much my own personal pizza and gyro shop. Imagine: a big vertical rotisserie stacked with roaster chickens, and an automated basting system like milling machines use for cutting fluid. :yum: Mmmm.

I’ve replace the vast majority of carbs with riced cauliflower/broccoli, and I think it’s starting to affect my mind.

This is what I would call “a good start” and appropriate meal size. No need for a confession.
Only 720 calories

yeah, it’s not a ball buster and I can easily fit that into my allotment, which is why I chose to eat it in the first place.

I guess the sentiment is that I was pretty depressed at the caloric density. I would have been more “satisfied” had I replaced the cheese w/6oz smoked salmon, which has less than half the calories and 3x the protein.
=> the cheese was good, but definitely falls into the category of foods that “aren’t worth it”

Cheese is always worth it.

If I had it my way, my breakfast would be either a lb of some form of smoked fatty fish, a pint of cottage cheese, or 6-8 eggs

Look on the bright side. You got the majority of a daily sodium intake in one snack. :+1:

That’s even more depressing IMO

Cheese is pretty much entirely out-of my diet. I stick with nuts for fat sources.

Is this because of the cholesterol issues?

Confession 2 of the day: I’m supposed to be working on cardinality proofs, but am instead scrolling Tnation.
I don’t think I’m going to continue with math previewing

The only genuine reason ever to visit an online forum is procrastination!

Well… according to a robust body of literature, self disclosure ie flame free confessions are good for mental health and possibly physical health too :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

That was what drove me initially to cut it out of my diet, and in doing so I discovered just how incredibly prevalent it WAS in my diet. I was throwing cheese on EVERYTHING, and honestly not even really tasting it. Same with sour cream. I’m trying to “eat with intention” for the present, focusing on WHY I’m eating what I’m eating. Before, those things were just to add calories, but I’ve got better ways to do that.

I do technically still include cheese, but it’s fat free cheese, which, really, isn’t cheese, haha.

I never really got into reddit and don’t quite know where to begin.

Don’t begin.
Reddit and Twitter are the worst parts of the internet :joy:

Hmmm.

Yeah. That’s like waving a giant flag and yelling “Look at This!” through a megaphone at me.

Hahaha fair enough. I just tend to find them sort of lame more than anything else really. Full of people who think their opinion on politics/religion/the world/life/the human condition etc. is important enough that everybody in the internet needs to hear it lol. I’ve adopted something of a Jim Wendler approach to such things.

Ooh, look, I made an actual confession in the confession thread.

I appreciate reddit for it’s ability to cater to my every single nerdy desire. There’s a subreddit for EVERYTHING. I stay away from politics primarily because that’s what my formal education is in, and watching people ham-fistedly attempt to navigate a field I dedicated 6 years of my life to studying would be frustrating if I cared about their opinions at all.

That said, I confess that I VERY much appreciate the “politics and world issues” forum here. Not because I ever read it. Oh no. That would be silly. I appreciate it for the “roach motel” function it provides. I have observed several posters that I found unfavorable for a variety of reasons find their exit from this site as a result of their actions on that forum.

While I’m here, I try to do more than 1 confession a post, because I am a bit upset that I’m one of the most prolific posters in these threads, so I’ll do some more. A semi-confession being that I post so frequently because I’m at work and this helps kill time when I should be working. My REAL confession is that I legit have nostalgia associated with certain supplements and energy drinks, and consuming them “brings me back”. I’m a total meathead.
