WFH and tech contractors from different timezones are driving me nuts. I should be off till New Yearās Day. Fuck I might start finding Jimmy Fallon funny soon.
Every time I make a call with wechat once and the next 2 days Iām bombarded with fucking phone answering machine scams from China somehow routed to local numbers so Iāll answer them. I wanna hunt these fuckers down.

Two years ago- we learned that my 15 year old cousin apparently had a teenage son who would be killed if she didnāt pay some ridiculous amount.
We had a lot of fun messing with that fucker

HAHAHA yeah, it used to be real people on the phone. I read similar reports in the news about rich students or old women being fooled. Scammers convinced them that they were from the police and had compelling evidence of some kind of serious crime they didnāt commit and managed to scam some of them for $50,000-$100,0000 USD. Pretty amazing.
Nowadays they just use automated voice calls for efficiency and say your phone line is going to be cut off in 2 hours unless you enter your account and payment details or something. Something like those Indian internet virus scams.
I used to type stupid replies to those Nigerian scam emails claiming Iām in the illicit panda trade or something and maybe we could work something out but no one replied back.

You mean the one with the HIT Jedi? Remember they were really active in the mid 2000s? Seems like theyāre coming back out. Those earlier guys were more fun. They spoke in parables like religious nuts.

I skimmed through it. Too much pseudoscience, not enough parables lol. I miss the old HIT Jedi and their various analogies that only made sense if you were really high.
Iām always on board with someone really leaning into improper usage of a word. Really helps define their character in my mind haha. The old guard was well before my time unfortunately.

I just had the pleasure of indulging in this entertainment.
I havenāt been able to go to the gym in a few days now due to storm work, I think Iām actually going through withdrawals. I think I may actually enjoy working out. Idk how I feel about this.
I donāt think they ever appeared at t nation. I remember them at other bodybuilding forums way back but I donāt visit any other sites anymore.
I liken their utterances to those kungfu guys who say shit like:

Stupid, meaningless shit like that with ridiculous circular logic that may actually make sense if youāre high or someone easily deluded when asked for a simple pic to show their results. Loved it.

Wasnāt talking about him. This one is a typical deluded HIT Jedi that picked too much pseudoscience over the years to retain my attention. Itās amazing how they can delude themselves for decades. Imagine this guy arguing at a bodybuilding forum in the early 2000s. Iād have thought most of them had figured it out or given up already.

I love those types that ask a rudimentary question like a newbie. Then when someone answers their question they go into educator mode. Well at least I can be entertained by another one.
