I find it fascinating that a ā€œMovementā€ that claimed to revolutionize lifting through science, can be shown with their own quotes in a thread on new research to not actually do any science and merely advance hypothesis without real experimentation or valid process. And yet, ther remain a few ā€œTrue Believersā€ clinging on in spite of total lack of efficacy.

So it’s a cult then?

Maybe we should call it ā€œFaith Based Trainingā€, based on the Poobah declaring that ā€œBut, you as a trainee have to BELIEVE that I know what I’m doing and writing about. None of it will work well if you don’t believe. (sic)ā€. LOL. That’s really taking mind over matter to the limit. We’ll see if I get a lecture for that quote.

Confession:

My wife and kids are away this weekend.
I took the opportunity to clean the house.

You may have to surrenderyour man card, unless this is a devious plan for action on the wife’s return.

Damn man: how heavy is your house?

The last time my mom left my dad along at home for a bit of time, he managed to kill our succulents :joy:

I confess this made me laugh way too hard.

More over how heavy is the wife if I have to wait for her to leave to do it…

It kinda is.

She works 3 days a week and is ā€œmeantā€ to spend those extra days off doing house work. But her go to line is ā€œTheres no point cleaning that. It will just get dirty againā€.
I’ve tried to explain that sort of logic means we would never clean anything.

But in essence I’ve cleaned the house. All she has to do is stay on top of stuff.

Ps - to prewarn any one thinking of playing the sexist card; I expect my wife to keep the house not because shes a woman. But because she took a job paying tens of thousands of pounds less a year - to work 3 days a week. So she could.
If shes doesnt wanna do house work she needs to go to work 5 days a week to pay for a cleaner or so I can take a day off and do it.

Best dad joke this week. Thank you sir

See this is why I never told the clothes - ā€œthey are just gonna get worn again, why botherā€. I confess my scrubs are wrinkled tonight as a result. Do I care? Not one fucking bit. I clean the house though.

I dunno if that will settle or reignite a 15 year long disagreement in my house.

I will pass on a bit of wisdom that I have gained through decades of study and experience.

Does it support my wife/parents/siblings/boss/etc? Then thus is welcome information

Does it support me? I’m fucked if I mentioned it

Theoretically, it’s supposed to help with discipline and routine, but as someone who’s had more or less the same wake and bed time since 5th grade, I just don’t see the value

Framing is everything
