Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

Rather than olive oil or butter why not go with the battered and deep fried pizza

Had pizza for dinner thanks to this thread.

Went to a movie theatre that had reclining heated leather seats, a bar, a restaurant that delivered to your seat, and more wild shit. It was awesome. Drank a budheavy because date night, and the awesome menu we were excited about was corona’d down to 6 things since apparently those are the 6 foods the rona is scared of. Pizza was one of them.

My dad said the same. He was in the military and traveled all over. Said they put some wild things on pizza over there and it was watery and nasty. This was back in the 70’s and 80’s though

I’m invited to a party this weekend but am on medication that I don’t want to mix with alcohol and I prefer to eat rather than drink my calories so I’ll buy alcohol-free bottles and replace the content with water to not noticeably be the person only drinking water in an effort to not make others uncomfortable

Or maybe America just eats in excess too much lol

That is definitely the extra mile. I once went to a dinner party while I was fasting and ate nothing. My wife thinks I energise myself though other people’s discomfort. Much like the energy vampire in this show (which I highly recommend BTW):

They’ve made it into a show now? The movie was fantastic!

Yep, highly recommended. I was in tears more than once.

I’m interested in watching it. Does anything like this happen in the show?

Your wife and my wife should never talk. :joy:

Why would people be uncomfortable? I’ve been to parties not eating or drinking their stuff many times

On the other hand, if you’re on medication, alcohol is like three times as potent so that’s a bonus?

Haha nothing can compare to Nicholas Cage but I think you’ll be happy investing your time with this one.

I am not a huge fan of Chicago deep dish but it beats the pants off St Louis style pizza.

Did it make you feel more alert? Give you better focus? Energy? I work nights and honestly the only thing that keeps me going through a hellish 12 is clen. I can drink a triple espresso or a bang and take a nap half an hour later, easily.

I worked nights for 3 years straight, I understand. Nuvigil is better from what I understand, and neither one made me feel wired at all. I don’t process them quite right, as I’ve discovered recently from pharmacogenomic testing, so I can get away with big doses and short term. I can say that they both probably work well enough as intended. Caffeine doesn’t dent me, I can drink 12 cups of Italian roast and take a nap, but I could see this helping if you get the dose right. It definitely isn’t like normal stimulants, no ramped up sex drive or hyper feeling at all. But amphetamines are also known to lower my BP, so ease into trying it. I am 100% sure either one is safer than Clen.

I tried it and it didn’t do anything noticeable for me. (That might actually be a good thing because when I take caffeine to the level required to get me through a whole night it makes me jittery as hell!)
If you’re going to consistently work nights then maybe you’re better off trying to re-set your circadian rhythms, which melatonin and 5-htp can help you do. Key word there would be consistently, you wouldn’t want to mess with that unless you’re trying to make a permanent change.
Given the number of chronic insomniacs trying and failing to go the other way on that one you’d want to be pretty certain that’s a change you want to make!

Well I worked nightshift for 8 years. Back on days for 5 now back on nights again for the last year. I sleep good, o don’t have insomnia. It just seems like between 2 and 7 am my brain stops working. I cant do basic calculations and I forget everything. I figured something like modafinil might be safer to try

Your brain only does that between 2 and 7 am? You’re already way ahead of me, disregard anything I say.
