Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

I prefer to dip my pizza in butter, although, olive oil is good.

Is that an actual thing? Really?

We have some wood fire cooked pizza. It has thin crust and the place here has a spicy olive oil on the table for dipping. It’s amazing.

Here’s a few pizzas and their olive oil.

Wow. Never seen anything of that sort here in Italy. Those must be 3k calories a slice haha. They look absolutely delicious, though.

Garlic, chilli, goat’s cheese, herbs on a thin crust, dipped in oil. Delicious.

I’m thinking Dave’s version looks pretty different to that though lol

The directions in his article were:

Get a pizza with absolutely everything on it. Then once you’ve put it on the table, grab a bottle of oil and pour at least half of it on.

So yeah, kinda different lol

A EXTRA-LARGE pizza guys, come on, get the facts right.

Also, reading about doubling up slices reminded me of how much I miss Sbarro’s stuffed pizza

I miss being a fat kid quite frequently, haha.

I always thought it was an Italian thing?! Olive oil and pizza?!

Nearly ever pizza place has garlic butter. When I was fat, I’d eat a few of these.

I get one with chicken and veggies and it’s like 800-1000 for the whole thing. It’s delicious.

Yes. It did absolutely nothing for me, neither did the other related drug (newer version whose name escapes me). What would like to know?

Pretty sure Pizza Hut’s entire business was built on excessively buttering the crust. That and stuffing cheese in it.

Pretty sure these are at least 3k calories a slice

Haha I think that crosses the line between pizza and pie

I wish we had that stuff here

But I’m also kind of an exception at that: ask the average Italian and the answer will be, ā€œI’m not gonna eat that abomination!ā€

As an aside fun fact: beef pizza isn’t really a thing here. Like, you can put beef on pizza, sure. But you likely won’t find that combination on a restaurant menu. I’d totally be down for it though.

It’s from a well known Chicago chain called Giordano’s.

Are you sure though? American pizza is a little different to real italian pizza

Can’t know for sure until I try it. But when it comes to food, I’m pretty much always down to try new stuff.

I salivate watching things you guys eat in America that most Italians would never eat. I’m far from being a purist when it comes to cuisine. There are so many ā€œpiggyā€ things I’ve seen on the internet that I’d like to try. We guys eat too clean over here lol

I have to be honest, the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten was in Italy. I had some good food there, but I had some really disappointing stuff too.
