So for those interested I’ll be logging everything leading up to my first physique comp over here:

Wait til you see me carbed up, tanned and oiled! lol
Looking awesome man
Damn good work! I am confused though, what actually happened? Did you actually get leaner and lose more weight? You look bigger, but could just be the presentation due to lower bf.
Also, you need something easier for us to refer to you. Trying to say or type your name just feels like a curse word in icelandic dialect.

I stalled for about 4 weeks and then things started picking up again. Things are moving and Shelby’s being more aggressive than ever in the final 2 weeks to my show, probably trying to get me down that last 2% bodyfat or so. It would be cool to step on stage at 6%.
Call me Jake.

Good shit Jake. Keep it up man. Proof that you dont need to be HYUGEE to look muscular and developed. You have a very comic book super hero look going on if that makes sense, and I mean that as a compliment.

Thank you so much for the kind words. In retrospect, I really think when my weight was stalling I may have been adding a teeny bit of muscle to my frame, because the recent pic is me as depleted as one can get (no carbs from starch or sugar now.)
Expanding on what you have said, there are some serious misconceptions about bodyweight for natties around this forum. 5’10" and 170-180 LEAN is not too shabby! Also, I wish more would just go get themselves hydrostatically weighed already.

Couldnt agree more about the last paragraph. I think alot of these guys think LEAN is the same as NOT FAT. They diet down to NOT FAT and stop. Always chasing like 200+ lean, not realizing that wont happen without ‘help’.
Damn, I feel fat now.
Seriously, you look great. Looking forward to seeing what you look like carbed-up and stage ready.

At the start of this thread, I would not have believed you would progress this much. Great work man.

I think that’s where having knowledge of what the best natties have brought to the stage in the past is valuable in having realistic goals to shoot for.
You look amazing Jake.
Outstanding work, Jake. What are your plans after the physique competition?

Enjoy life a little. I ended up landing a “corporate” job back in Chicago close to my family. I’ve decided to embark on a 2-3 year “off-season” hovering around 12% bodyfat. I figure 2-3 years is about the time it’ll take to really fall into a routine and be able to go do a Natty show if I want.
I cannot say enough how impressive this transformation has been.
