Jake, amazing progress as always. Too bad you’re not handsome enough to do well in this sport, remember? Sorry brah.

What is not serious about that statement? It is truth.

Not sure if YOU’RE serious…
He is 5’10 at that level of muscularity and leanness around 170 right? So please tell me how he is going to add 30+ more pounds of muscle without vitamin S.

For one, I was extremely dense apparently while reading, having just woken up. I somehow overlooked the fact that you were actually talking about the OP.
That being said, I suppose it starts to become one of “those” topics when it comes to this IMO, as I think a lot of this depends on perception of leanness. Really, a true 10-12% is fairly damn lean. If he were to maintain something like that in the off-season, I think it’s reasonable to be able to get over 200 in a few years without being on.
But then again, probably just better to go on and tear shit up anyway. ![]()

you can’t be a male fitness model w/out a six pack… Idk about what fitness models get down too, but i’d imagine around 6-7%. At that bf, if you can keep all your mass you should look pretty good… .Might wanna bring up your hams and glutes though cuz you’ll lose some mass when you cut.
thanks for posting nothing relevant to my original question…lol
He is basically telling you to not send in those pictures and to get leaner first. I consider that fairly relevant.
The tip on your hamstrings/glutes should also be expected since you are on a bodybuilding website.
At least he tried to help.
Well then he didn’t read my post =) I mean this sincerely, the tone of my response was entirely playful. I never said I’d send these pics in, just wanted to give guys an idea of where I’m at currently so they can have an idea of where I’ll be at 180, 190, or 200. My question was, what do you think about me sending in pics at 200? He didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. I’m already in cutting mode and working with a nutrition coach. I was looking for advice on something else is all.
I do appreciate the tip on hamstrings/glutes. Only recently figured out how to really hit my hams well. Thank you john meadows!

Just get down to 200 and see how you look. Fat distribution is genetic. Unless you have cut in the past, no one can predict what you would look like if you lose 10 pounds.
Why not just hire a photographer at a weight closer to the 180 pounds you want to compete at? You have a better chance of giving a good first impression if you have a close to contest shape condition in your portfolio.
Someone out there is sending pictures with a 6-8% body fat. Guy with 6-8% body fat vs Guy 20 pounds off contest weight?? No brainer

8 months ago - I was giving advice
8 months later - 'miring and rereading the thread to pick up on advice from you
When will it be my turn to be shredded !?! ![]()
