FitDay Calculator Off ?

This is going to be more an issue for the bigger eaters around here. I just punched in a little below what I am currently eating on a daily basis and it come up to 3700 or a lil above.

Now while I am happy if that is the acutal case but i am wondering if thats accurate. The one thing that seems on the high side is that they are calculating one cup of ground beef at close to 600+ cals.

Is that correct ? Sorry to take up your guys’ time but its just that I am in Kabul and theres no way for me to find out my exact consumption.

And again I am not worried about over eating and getting roly poly I just want to make sure thats my actual consumption.

I’ve had the same problem with a couple foods on FitDay. There is an option to enter your own nutrition info for “new foods” which I find is worth while. Grab the packaging and part yourself at your keyboard and enter a few of your staples in - especially those that you think might be wrong. That way you know exactly what you’re eating and the breakdown of it.

Good luck with your bulk!

depends on the beef how lean it is if its cooked etc. that there would be some DAMN unlean beef. lean as in 93% is about 135k/cals for a 100g portion about the size of a deck of cards UNCOOKED. that sounds damn high to me.

Crazy8: Thanks for the input. I am not sure the packaging thing will help. Like I said I am in Kabul, Afghanistan and since I am not in the International armed forces community most of the food I have doesnt quite have the “packaging” most of us are used to, but thank you nevertheless.

Cause of your suggestion I changed stuff and while it was going to 4200 per day with all my meals its has now come to 3700 , so at least I can guage whether i need to up the cals or whether I can grow with this level of calories.

BTW I am 5` 7`` or so and weigh in at 190 right now. Goals to be a fucking small car for now . Will see how i like it when i get there.

Phill lean or unlean is a very interesting question as well, cause over here I just go to the butcher , he takes a knife to a hanging cow. Gets me 2 Kgs of meat ( about 4.4 lbs) and then proceeds to grind it in a meat grinder powered by a car engine ( I shit you not ).

All in all he trys to mix as much fat as possible and i try for the opposite. I think hes winning though.

Thanks for the input guys. good luck with your goals.
