What do you guys think: Flameout or carlsons fishoil (liquid). Its 80,000 mg of epa and 50,000 mg of dha per bottle at $21. Or 19,360 mg of epa and 48,400 dh per container for Flameout.
Looking at the numbers I would think I should go Carlsons liquid fish oil. Does anyone know a reason to use Flameout?
I use both, but if I had to pick I’d stick with Flameout due to the higher amount of DHA.

Some will say to go one way or the other for various reasons.
Flameout if you read about it was designed to significantly increase the ratio of DHA to EPA. EPA is the cheaper and more abundant of the two substances so therefore concentrating the fish oil for a higher ratio of DHA brings certain benefits and certain costs. You can read about them here:

To play devil’s advocate - other sites on the web suggest that EPA is the more important compound in fish oil. Perhaps it’s because it’s the cheaper one and it’s a marketing ploy?? I’m not suggesting that. Just something to think about in the current supplement market.
Some say that both are very important and getting the most amount possible is the better way to go (eg. Charles Polquin).
Personally I feel that until more is known and clearly defined as to which is more benficial EPA or DHA, getting lots of each in a day is the way to go.
In short - Carlson’s Fish Oil would be my choice. 2-3 tablespoons a day on a moderate carbohydrate diet.
However, if your purpose for using fish oil is reduction of inflammation, a very important process to muscle building - go with Flame Out.
Just my 2cents.
