First stack at 54 years old

About to start my first run. Have 10ml of cyp and 10 ml primo. Any suggestions on what else I should be looking into to go with or when I finish. I’m green.

54 yo 207lb wanting to cut and harden. Being more fit and bringing up levels are my goal. I don’t grow nearly as fast as I used to.

No Ed problems. Some lethargy. Not as much gas in the tank anymore.

Should I the any supplements etc with.

If you need to cut, do that FIRST before you start introducing drugs. Get your health sorted and be in a state where the drugs can actually be useful.

I beg your pardon, what makes you introduce PEDs at age 54? This is irresponsible! Do you still have something to prove, that you already haven’t done? Get your shit together, and make natty training part of your lifestyle into old age. You do know you will lose this game, right? Please reflect upon your reasons doing this! “Rented gains” will also make a fool out of you. Training is an endurance game. Money may be better spent on a good psychologist for inner strength…

If you’re not on TRT don’t do this. Recovery post cycle will be terrible and you’ll likely end up worse than before you started. If you’re feeling age decline in composition get your levels checked and go to a men’s clinic like Defy.

Well on a bright note he’s not talking about taking Tren in his 50s.

Thank you, I will look into them. I am concern about the drop. I’ve read that Anavar is a good mild elevator for first timer. However I have a friend that was going shopping so I got what he got.
It’s like this I’ve been fit and working out for the last 2 years after a longer hiatus, and realized that I was not growing like I once did in addition to a kind of overall drop in energy level. I’ve analyzed from it from different perspectives. And the more I’ve heard the commercials and read I figure my levels have dropped. Yes I need to get blood work but have not decided who to go to. Trying to learn the acronyms and educate myself more as my knowledge is from the 90s . I’m not looking for a shortcut but an improve ment. I appreciate your time.

Not sure your age but I’ve had no problem up till 50 gaining muscle and seeing my body respond to the work. There are more factors other than asthmatics at play. I’m not looking for philosophical advice. I. On here looking for intelligent advice to weigh and get some direction. I appreciate your time but I’ve spent the money and want to get all the things in place for a successful go. It is an experiment to be sure but im not trying to go super jacked man just improved.

Okay but you didn’t spend the money on the things you need to. Like bloodwork.

Again, the things you need in place for a successful go are:
Diet
Training
Recovery
and then gear

At 54 you’re looking to get 6 weeks of productivity out of a very mild cycle, in hopes that your HPTA doesnt shit out when you come off it all.
It will.

Its not gatekeeping. Its trying to steer you in the right direction. There’s a time and place for steroids, and it is NOT before your diet and training are ironed out.

OK. I will take your advice. There’s no reason to ask for it if I don’t take it.

I’m 51 y.o. I sure suspected I had reached an irresistible plateau about two years ago. Enter different stimulus through powerlifting, and my strength developed nicely - as well as corresponding gains. It seems many lifters are stuck in their own dogma, leaving gains on the table. How do you train?

Thanks for asking (and hat’s off to your own journey)!

I had my thoughts on trying out both these brilliant/modern takes on HIT - But, unf I’m leading a life that makes it incredibly hard to follow a strict routine. I have to make out the most of what I have, thus I’m able to (and incredibly enough continue to develop through) twice weekly training whenever opportunity happens. If it was only for my demanding job and family duties with 3 small kids - I would definitely make it. BUT - The big issue now (at 51) is a significantly slower recovery rate!

It’s actually a small miracle that I continue to grow, but I’ve combined decent genetics with previous experiences with what I’ve learned here on Tnation, combined with a curiousity to try different approaches - and end up with a personal formula of powerlifting, HIT and strange accessory work (flywheel training, chest expander, resistance bands, bodyweight excercises) - That for some reason does the trick!

That’s why I’m “attacking” the OP, as I believe he (or she) has yet to try different modalities in training! I respect people using PEDs for all the right reasons, but OP hasn’t even outlined the basics.

I’m 52. You can most definitely continue to be strong and capable at your age. Get blood work done to see if there is any underlying concern. I just did this recently, and it showed I did NOT need TRT or other intervention. That said, I am likely more fit than you are as I’ve been training consistently for decades.

At your (our) age, you know the truth: it’s diet and smart training. You will plateau at any age if you continue to train the same way. Change things up. Take up a new approach, join a Crossfit gym (okay, maybe that’s just me), learn a new athletic skill/hobby. Don’t jump on gear. There’s zero chance you’ll look back in a few years and say “I’m sure glad I did that”.
