What Do I Need to Know?

I have read the basic information that has been provided on this forum, the reason I am posting this question is to get honest answers for my own personal situation instead of trying to compare a generic guideline to what I have going on.

It has been a while since I have worked out regularly due to school and being a lazy piece of sh*t, currently I am 22 and weigh about 152 lbs and I am 5’11, with about 11% body fat. The reason I am contemplating a cycle is because even when I was working out regularly and eating properly for over a year I could never pass 165, I would tone up significantly but the gains were non existent no matter what I did. I would like to hit about 175-180 during my cycle.

Now for a breakdown on my process for a little background information. I will be studying abroad in Amman Jordan, where I will be unable to drink any booze and will be eating properly (I could use some tips on what to eat during my cycle) all I will really be able to do is work out during my down time, and from what I have read about the availability of steroids in Jordan is that you are able to buy them over the counter at just about any pharmacy over there, the most common one that I saw was AAS.

I would like to know what would be my best option in terms of what to take, what I need to do during my cycle, what are the pros and cons, and what I will need to do for my post cycle.

I would like no bullsht answers, my buddy told me this is the best place for me to get the information that I need, and is somewhat encouraging me to do this because he gets out of the navy in a few months and after my study abroad program, he and I are going to Sweden for 2 weeks to celebrate and neither of us want me to be the F***ng twig that I am right now while over there.

So please help me with this, because it is difficult to cypher through all of the biased articles that are out there so that I can get the correct information to help me with my decision.

Thank you.

No, just no. you admit to being a lazy fuck, I guarantee you don’t eat nearly enough, you probably train when you feel like it and half ass it when you do. Quit being a lazy terd, you don’t need steroids so you can impress your friends for 2 Weeks. Get your diet in check, without that you’re just spinning your wheels.

I second that.

This isn’t to impress my friends for 2 weeks, it goes beyond that, but it is a contributing factor in my decision making process. As for me being a lazy fuck, I haven’t worked out in about 2 months due to rigorous course work for Arabic which requires almost complete undivided attention, however I am not going to use that as an excuse because lets face it I could find a place that is open 24/7. But I would appreciate it if you didn’t call my work ethic into question, I work my ass of in the gym, just because I can’t lift as much weight as the dudes who are twice my size doesn’t mean I don’t leave it all in there. You are right about me not eating enough though, it seems no matter how much I eat I can’t gain weight. I’ve tried multiple different gainers with very little success, and before you question if I even finished them I went as far as waking up in the middle of the night just to make and finish one before going back to sleep. I don’t know if I am just doing something wrong or if it is my genetics. It feels like I have exhausted just about all of my options, and before someone calls my previous technique or regimen into question I went as far as hiring a personal trainer for a month, during that time and afterwards I did see some results but I plateaued at 165 it seemed because I didn’t gain any weight in the 3 months following. That is the base reason for my request for information, the others are just external driving factors that are extremely appealing to me. I know that I sound like a dumbass for posting a ridiculous question like this with my current situation, but I wouldn’t just start a cycle to impress my friends, hopefully you can see that there are other issues at play.

However I do appreciate your no nonsense advice, and if you know of any other alternatives I would like your input. I am not on here because I’m just another idiot, even though I may come off that way, I am on here because everyone else here knows more about this topic then I do and I want to educate myself before I do something dumb because I’m ill informed.

You do realize that “AAS” is a general term for steroids, right?

and ya I know that AAS is a general term for steroids, but I didn’t want to get into specific names because that would make it seem like I knew more then I do and thought it was more appropriate

You mean its not a Brand name Steroid like “Bandaid” is for adhesive bandage? Too bad, I really wanted to run 1ml EOD of AAS though.

As someone who has never taken a drop of the stuff even I knew that was the forehead palm of the century right there.

Try 10,000 and then come back. If you can’t gain weight naturally then when you get on gear you will get a 8-12 week increase and then as soon as you come off you will lose every pound if nit more because now your back natural but possibly with a much weaker test production. You need to figure out how to grow.

If you can grow with out AAS you will never grow with them either. All the idiots who think you can just tale AAS and then sit on their ass and grow are idiots. When on gear especially trying to gain size you need to eat even more and train even harder.

Post up your daily typical diet. No BS, what you ACTUALLY eat, and don’t add shit to the list that you may eat, sometimes, to make it look better

Ummmm… What? So are you a lazy fuck or a hard worker? Let’s get the story straight here, SMH.

Well then get into the specifics. People will be more willing to help if you can demonstrate that you’ve done your homework on training, eating, and gear.

^^^^^ Which is clear you haven’t but none the less.

I work my hardest on anything I do, I referred to myself as being lazy because I have taken an unwanted break in order to further my career goals.

My daily typical diet starts off with an ON pro complex gainer shake, as well as a bowl of oatmeal, which adds up to be around 950 calories in the morning. Then for lunch on M/W/F I eat a pound of chicken and a salad with some vinaigrette dressing and apple chunks along with another shake. But on Tuesday and Thursday, when I only have 20 min between classes and can’t go home I generally eat a footlong meatball sub with a gainer shake. Then at night for dinner I usually eat a pound of Salmon that I cook under the broiler with a thin layer of olive oil and some salt and pepper with a small amount of butter cooked into it, with either brown rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed broccoli. By that time Im generally pretty damn full so I wait about 30-45 min to have another shake. In between these times I will usually have a snack of almonds.

On weekends it varies, most of the time I stick with the oatmeal for breakfast or switch it up with a protein bar. For lunch usually a peanut butter sandwich and a shake while I study. Then dinner is chicken breast. But here is where I do mess up, every other week I go DT with my friends and get drunk then give into my cravings and eat some raising canes, which is about as healthy as smoking meth.

I would like to think my diet is pretty good, however if anyone sees any issues with it or ways that I can change it let me know.

Have you ever heard of carbohydrates

Seems like you’re not eating that much. Plus I bet you’re weighing your meat uncooked. There is a big difference. Try adding in more whole food instead of your gainer shake. Use that when you are really pressed for time only.

Oh and like reed said, eat more carbs, potatoes, rice, etc.

Steroids is not the answer for you
One thing I never hear anyone suggest to newbies looking to cycle is that they should go have their Test / E Levels checked.
It is extremely difficult to build muscle with low T / high E levels
Who knows? Maybe all you need is an AI to stop your natural Test from converting to E which is actually far too common a problem, IMO
Balancing your hormones levels is s decent size of any athletes concerns and you should know where you fit naturally before you start touching gear

The answer I should give you is that you’re lucky no one here is really feeding it to you
Your post is a bit demanding
Tell you what and how much to run so you can look good for the 2 weeks you’ll be going to Sweden? Go jerk a bull off!!
And no matter what you do you can’t gain weight? BS!!! Go on a heavy bulking cycle a good couple years. The goal? The scale HAS to move!!! Get as much clean / nutrient rich foods in as you can. Add more carbs slowly to your diet if the scale isn’t moving. I’m currently bulking and I am always cooking oats, brown rice and potatoes unlike anyone I know
If you’re a true 11% bf you should easily push to gain 1lb each week for 6 months straight. Thats 26lbs for added to your pathetic frame which you haven’t built being lazy, but not lazy 'cause you succeed at everything you do
Honestly…I doubt you’ve exceeded 3,500 calories to date. it’s all surplus and deficits to get the scale moving; add McD’s and Subway to your diet everyday if you’ve climbed up to 5,000+ calories and still can’t gain

The answer you want:
Test E or Test C for 12-16weeks @ 300-600mg/wk (M/T)
.5mg Arimidex EOD
Don’t worry about HCG or any PCT
You’ll prob gain 15lbs while on cycle (NOT all muscle) but that’ll be VERY short lived. You’ll prob loose every ounce once you come off. Your natural T levels will be low and slow to come back to normal
You’ll feel tired, depressed, and possibly back on here demanding a new “prescription”

if medical students still find time to lift, you sure as shit can. fucking hell. not even 3 hours a week to spare? really? wow

you dont know how to train, you dont know how to eat, you dont know how to work hard and you dont know how to be consistent

I appreciate your honest advice, I didn’t mean to sound demanding in my post, I haven’t done much research on the gear topic, and the research I’ve done has been extremely biased. I think my wording may have gotten people confused, I came here looking for information, not because I am dead set on getting on a cycle. I saw it as an option because I will be going to a country where it is legal, and thought if it will help me with my problems why not. But from the answers I’ve gotten here, there is much more that I should be doing differently, instead of looking into options that should be considered later.

If anyone has any tips not relating to gear they think could help me and want to share them with me, please PM me. I have made the decision that I am not ready, thanks to the good advice that I have been given, and I’m pretty sure if I hadn’t asked this question on here I would’ve made a dumb decision.

^^^ Mature decision. I can respect that.

PMs haven’t been working for a long time. As far as I know, they still aren’t.

There seem to be a lot of lean, but skinny, dudes who have trouble putting on weight. The common denominator seems to be that they watch what they eat more than how much they eat. People on the internet advocate clean eating a lot, but reality and internet don’t always match up. I don’t know anyone that’s big that eats clean exclusively or close to exclusively. Don’t be afraid of gobbling some calories from more questionable food sources to break those weight gain plateaus. Don’t be afraid of losing your abs, it’s just temporary and trust in the process is essential. This isn’t a license to get totally messy, though. You have to monitor things and make sure your bulking food is somewhat reasonable and that you’re not gaining a ridiculous amount of fat (some fat is to be expected though).

Bulking with extra meat, extra cheese burritos? FUCK YES!!! This is the fun part about bulking. Burritos are probably my favourite bulking food. Scratch that. They definitely take second to Korean BBQ.

Bulking with jujubes? Not so much… Though I know some powerlifters who would disagree with me on this one.

Training wise: focus on your big compound bread-and-butter lifts. Probably won’t hurt to focus on building a strength base first. There are many ways to skin a cat, though. Pick something you like that’s appropriate to your level and goals and STICK WITH IT.

Consistency in everything is key. That means diet, sleep, and training. Yeah, sometimes life gets in the way, but that doesn’t mean stop training, eating right, etc. It means you just have to find ways to work around it, whether it means moving your training schedule around, pruning it for efficiency, or making up for it later. Consistency is both the easiest and the hardest one. If you can learn to just enjoy lifting and the associated lifestyle for what it is then it’s a LOT easier to be consistent.

Keep up with your reading. There is more info that applies to lifting than anybody could ever possibly know. Remember that you will always a student, never the master.

That’s pretty much the basics of how to progress. If I missed out anything major, feel free to chime in. OP, for a start, you should check out some of the articles on this site and the beginner forum.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
