I’ve been on and off gear for years, never ever seen a doc once, except for the doc that gives me HRT 250 EOW, and he has never sent me for blood work once, just asumed my test was low because of other meds I am on. I have always just gone by how I felt or looked, this form is a huge eye opener, should be manditory reading for all. Awesome
not to hyjack the thread but MrWalkaway I was wondering your thoughts on the fact that I gave up on big cycles a couple years ago, and just doubled my HRT running 250 a week steady, it makes me feel awesome at 40, I don’t grow much, but my strength and size are easily held. I used to blast and cruise dropping back to 250 EOW between cycles, but it got to be to much trouble, and now I don’t have to worry about AI, anyway just wondering your thoughts.
To anyone reading, due completely to this thread, I will be going in to have full physical and blood work, mabey I 'll post it somwhere, awesome thread
at your age, HRT doses only is prudent… the younger the individual is, the more they can generally get away with.
As for what to keep your eye on? hematocrit (can creep up even on HRT doses), blood pressure, c-reactive protein, homocysteine, triglycerides and fasted blood sugar. May as well get a liver ultrasound to check for hepatic adenomas as well (couldn’t hurt to check) and a urinalysis to check for blood/protein
cholesterol isn’t nearly as important as was once thought.

But your guesstimate of ‘well over 30% bf’ and ‘extremely obese’ are way out of the ball park. Thank you for your concern.
hey buddy it is not meant as an insult
but based on your pics, starting weight, height and strength you are kidding yourself
the pics on page 1 are easily 30%BF if not higher, to guess 20% is delusional
those pics are severely obese
as a comparison some college kid is posting in the supps forum at the mo - you both look very similar and everyone says he is around 35%BF
it looks like you should have started at around 180 not 235 so that is 55lbs of fat which is alot
if you are ever going to achieve your goals - drugs or not - at some point you will need to dramatically cut down on the amount of fat you are carrying
the first step in that is admitting that it is far higher than you are telling yourself it is
I never said i was 20%bf
ur body fat estimations are horrifc. if you think i;m anywhere near 35%bf you are delusional. John Goodman and Rosie o’donell are like 35%.
Strength is relative, and has nothing to do with size to a certain degree. proven over in the PL forum by the 137lb woman who can dl 518lbs.

you say in the opening post of this thread you think your BF is 20%
Seriously bro - go and look at your pics again: that is genuine obesity. not “bulked up” or “full house” it is grossly fat. literally NO ONE would look at those pics and think you do any training whatsoever, bar at best a bit of manual labour maybe. you are a minimum of 50 pounds from abs - what else is that other than obesity?
strength and size are MASSIVELY correlated. a 5’10" 235+ experienced weightlifter such as yourself should have impressive stats, otherwise you must be obese at the weight. random comparisons with PLers just show your delusion even more.
it is helpful hearing this stuff via the net as it is embarrassing in real life
you need to stop being delusional bro
you bodyfat is WAY over 20% - also 20% is fat as fuck anyway lol! if you lift for aesthetics there is NO reason to be above 12% max EVER
you’ve been lifting for years and are as fat as fuck - this is reality, you’re not a bulked up guy 6 weeks away from looking good on the beach you’re 6 months of brutal dieting away
your health problems are just as much from the obesity as from the drugs
every person in the world wants to look amazing and no one does due to total lack of discipline and self delusion
to achieve you goals you need to increase your discipline
i hope you take these posts the right way - this is real talk and aimed to get you on track

The fact that this OP was honest from the start is what makes this post so important and rare, I know everyone out there is ripped and can bench 500lbs, but this honesty is what is needed to spred information, he said he’s benching 350, this is a pretty big natural bench, mabey he got caught up chaseing numbers in the gym, and his six pack got put aside to gain weight and move bigger numbers, I’ve seen this happen to lots of guys.
Point is OP kmows he’s over weight, he posted his journey this took guts, so others can learn.I have been on gear for years, just going by how I feel and look, at 40 I’ve never once talked to a doc on how this all affects my health. his post took alot of courage and we should be suporting him, not bashing him. I for one may owe him my life. thks

Wouldn’t being on cycle help him burn some of the fat?
if his diet wasn’t complete shit
This IS my biggest problem. I ain’t guna lie i have do have issues with food stemming from being an estrogen fueled obese teen.
Most people who haven’t seen me much while doing this cycle have been asking me if i’ve lost weight etc and i look less ’ fat’ even though i’ve gained 20lbs.
Have i learnt a lot? Hell yeah.
Did u make mistakes? Damn right i did.
Would i change what i did if i did it again? probably.
This is has been good experience for me, and i’ve learnt a lot about my body, like the fact for most of my lifting career i was spinning my wheels.
I know i’m never guna be the leanest person out there. But the comments here have been an eye opener and maybe they are the well needed kick up the ass i need to get my shit together.
In a way thanks guys for being such a bunch of cunts. it’s kinda helped me out.

Thanks for all your posts and honesty. Even with “assistance” it still is a lot of work on many different components to get superior results.

Good luck going forward.

this is what people fail to understand…
until they start doing aas themselves.
Couldnt agree more. My personal view is the path is a lot narrower on aas than off. Every activity about training must have more rigorous focus when on. AAS magnify the good, but also hugely magnify the BAD.
Lance Armstrong certainly used plenty of peds, but he also trained super hard. The guys around him were using too, but many were not as diligent in their offseason as him.
