First Contest

very informative thread. Frankly I dont know anything about dieting down for competitions but at 14 weeks out looking like that, damn man.
Thanks bear!
The hope is that being leaner further out will allow me to hold more muscle come contest time.

Thought I’d throw this up. 615 at 207 Bw…this is a PR at this bodyweight. Hit this second to last in my back routine.

Thought this might be good to post in here.

All-Time Leg Press PR at 207 Bw.

Been hitting tons of PRs, training is going very well lately. I’ll post some highlights at the end of this week.
I counted more than 10 reps on that last set. Great intensity and dedication!

Haha, oops!!! I meant to type 20!

it was 28 plates x 10 then 20 plates x 20…big difference!

Thanks for noticing David.

Thought I’d make a supplement post, just to give you all an idea of what that looks like.

I like to keep things relatively simple when it comes to supplementation, and would personally rather spend the bulk of my money on high quality foods such as grassfed beef, cage free eggs, etc…

Here are my current supplements:
BCAAs
EAAs
Beta Alanine
Creatine Monohydrate
Vitargo
Pre-Workout Product
Greens Powder
Fiber Supplement
GDA
Whey/Casein Blend
Fish Oil
Carnitine Blend

My Peri-Workout nutrition looks like this:
Pre: 20 grams EAAs + 4 grams creatine + 15-35 grams vitargo + stim + 2 grams beta alanine
During: 25 grams BCAAs + 4 grams creatine + 2 grams beta alanine + 15-35 grams vitargo
Post: 20 grams EAAs

I have also used USP Labs’ Prime and Powerful, but they are an added cost that I only splurge on occasionally. I really like Powerful and its ability to help with sleep quality.

If you have any question on the brands I use or where I purchase my supplements, please PM me.

That’s a long list of supplements.

Don’t remember if I said it before, but: Good luck buddy!

Haha, well, I like to think I keep what works :P.

Thanks, appreciate your support!

Some update pics I took today. I am feeling very good about my level of leanness and where I’m at, being 13 weeks away from the show. I’m not sure what Layne has planned as of right now, but I feel that we are going at a good pace.

goodness son, you’re going to win the damn thing. Seriously impressive stuff. Who’s the camera man in the last pic taking photos of you in the bathroom lol?

Just come in to say good luck. In your front lat spread it looks like a snake is trapped under your skin!

Hiss: Thanks man, the camera was on a timer :stuck_out_tongue:

Fuzzy: Haha, Thanks for dropping in, brotha!

One last back from that set:

Thanks BBB.

I feel that these are the best yet, and a good representation of my strengths and weaknesses.

My Bodyweight in these is 208.5.

When Layne and I spoke about them he thought I was still looking very thick and I think we are shooting to come in around 195 or so.

Nice job Evan. What else can i say that hasn’t been said already. Keep kicking ass man!
