First Contest

Allright guys, I’ll get things back on track with a few update pics. I’m not gonna post the full compliment this week, just a few to give an idea of where I’m at.

Bodyweight yesterday morning was 208.7, an all-time low at this point in the diet. I look visibly leaner than last week as well. Right now, I am 14 weeks out of the show.

Just for kicks

Overall, Layne and I are very happy with where we’re at right now in terms of maintaining size and strength and my leanness level. My guess is my diet will remain pretty similar to what it is now for 2-3 more weeks, and then we will start ramping things up a bit come the 10-12 week mark. At this point, I am eating a good amount still, and have not had any issues with hunger.

I am doing cardio only 4 times/week, and the sessions are not overbearing in any way.

Today is a high(er) carb day, so I’ll post an example of what I’m eating.

Looking good!!! I won’t comment on your posing, cause I don’t want Way to kill me, lol. (it does look good btw) But Joe Franco gave me a tip before that whenever you pose, you should take you sneakers off cause otherwise it can throw off your balance/feel.

Damn man, why you gotta make me look bad? 14 weeks out and you’re leaner than me at 10 weeks.

Haha thanks BBB, appreciate your comments, support and input.

I never thought about that, but that’s great advice, I’ll definitely start posing without them! Thanks brotha!

Dont take Way the wrong way…he’s been very helpful and supportive to me and just wants to make sure everythings perfect.

I was just joking about that, but I’m sure with his help and Layne’s you’ll be a force to reckon with come show day.

Not even close, lol. I don’t post much here, but I really enjoyed your thread in the t-cell. I can’t wait until you start your pre-contest thread; I’ll definitely subscribe to that.

Thought this might be good to post in here.

All-Time Leg Press PR at 207 Bw.

Been hitting tons of PRs, training is going very well lately. I’ll post some highlights at the end of this week.

Nice man!

What gym do you train at E? Are you upstate NY or closer to the city?

Im closer to the city, and I train at two different gyms.

This is the one my family and I belong to (have a family membership)…it’s okay and has enough stuff for me to get a solid session in. When my training partner can meet me, we train closer to the city at Star Fitness in the Bronx.

you’re still 14 weeks out??? You’re really going with the slow and steady approach huh? I bet you’ll end up holding on to a lot more muscle that way (probably why you’re doing it)

You look great in your most recent pics, quads are ridic (obvi)

If I was at your gym and was in one of those stalls you were posing in front of I would be too embarrassed to come out and just pretend to still be using the bathroom until you were done posing outside. lololol

How can you lift in full sweats? I think i would die if I tried that. Is it cold as balls in your gym or what?

Hahaha.

Thanks for the comments Greg. And ya, I wanted to try and keep as much muscle as possible, which is why we started around 21 weeks out. I feel that I am in very good shape right now and at a leanness level that should put me in contention come contest time.

Actually, it is really, really cold in this gym. I keep these on for like 20-25 minutes before I can get a good sweat going. I always just shake my head when I get in there because it’s so damn cold…don’t they realize that’s a terrible environment to train in??? lol.

very informative thread. Frankly I dont know anything about dieting down for competitions but at 14 weeks out looking like that, damn man.
