I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’ve decided to start taking steroids in September. I think I want to blast and cruise, I realize a lot of people recommend against this but I really don’t see myself coming off and staying off cycle. I currently plan to stay on steroids, lifting is all I like. Here are my stats:
21 years old
158lbs (I know, not another young skinny kid)
Powerlifting, 295 bench, 425 squat, 435 deadlift(dead sucks)
Under 8% bodyfat.
I’m doing a meet in October and want to throw up big numbers while not gaining TOO much weight. Was thinking cruising at 250mg Enan per week then every 3-4 months I would blast for 6 weeks at 500mg test, and another compound, which is what I need recommendations for. What is my best bet to add to increase strength but not get super bloated. Thought about DBol but not sure about the weight gain. Would love to try Halo but I realize how stupid that is for my first time. Any suggestions help. Thanks
So you’re going to get dragged for most of what you said. Seeing as how others will do that a lot more efficiently than I could, I’ll try to dispense some advice in the arena of harm reduction.
A six week blast isn’t really enough to meet your goals. It takes your body a bit of time to adjust to new things, and strength and musculature are two of those things. You would get better results at your age by radically changing your training for six weeks vs six weeks of extra test.
250mg/w is not a cruise dose. It’s just not. Cruise is supposed to mimic natural levels. 250 will put you pretty far above the upper limits of the normal range.
Ok now a little dragging…
You are going to be poor for most of your 20’s. That’s a part of life. Exacerbating that by saddling yourself with additional fixed costs isn’t the smartest thing you can do.
You will never be happy with yourself because there will absolutely always be someone stronger than you and no amount of drugs will change that. You’re giving up on yourself at age 21. You’re saying that you’re either not smart enough to eat and train right OR you’re genetically inferior. Neither of those perspectivea are good for your mental health. You have any idea how dumb you are at 21? I do. We all do. We all were idiots at that age because we didn’t know anything. Neither do you. The reason that every single guy on this forum will tell you that your plan is bad is because your plan is objectively bad and anyone with any amount of sense knows that. It’s not a conspiracy to keep you young guys from unlocking your potential through the use of magical serum. It’s because we know what can go wrong at your age and there’s about a million words in scientific literature to back it up.
You’re too young. It isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact. Don’t be dumb. I promise you that the instant gratification you seek will never make you happy. You’ll waste your 20’s chasing after something that doesn’t exist and when you’re 35 you’ll wonder where the time went.

I appreciate you being straight up. I just feel like I will regret not starting sooner you know? I’m still making progress naturally of course, I just feel like it would be so much faster enhanced. All I want is to be stronger, it’s all I think about, and idk if this is something I can put off until I’m 25 or 30. I realize it’s not a long time but it sure feels long!
Staying on after a first cycle at 21 is a sure fire way to be on TRT for the rest of your life (which isn’t something you want), do you really want to be jabbing yourself weekly for the next sixty years? You say you’re not another “young skinny kid”, but unless you are very short (5,6 or below) I would still consider that small. I’m just going to state the things wrong in your thread.
- Six wks isn’t enough for a blast unless you are using testosterone propionate or TNE/suspension, neither of which is recommend for a first cycle as the ED/EOD pins will become a literal pain in the ass.
- 250mg/wk cruise, if I was to do this I would be cruising at 1250ng/dl, while this isn’t a problem with regards to short term health or even semi prolonged periods of time, long term this may lead to problems with hematocrit, blood pressure etc. Unless you want to be a competitive bodybuilder I would not recommend cruising at this dose (however everyone is different, maybe 250mg/wk only gets you to like 900ng/dl in which case that’d be fine)
As to getting stronger at a faster rate while enhanced, this is true, but you need to weigh the potential benefits with the risks. If the risk is damaging your endocrine system therefore requiring TRT for the rest of your life and you don’t wish to become a professional athlete the risk probably isn’t worth it.
This is absurd, sure training can be a very important part of your lifestyle, however you surely must have other goals with regards of what to do with life. I totally get it, if I couldn’t train again I’d be an absolute mess, bodybuilding is a HUGE part of my life however I have other goals with regards as to what I want to do after school and university. Waiting 5 or 10 years may not be practical for you, and if you absolutely have to cycle you should employ and on-PCT-off style of cycling, this way you probably dodge TRT for a while.
If it’s all you can think about then that is potentially a problem. It’s good to have passion. It really is. But don’t let passion become obsession. There’s too much else out there to fall in love with.
Use the money for a decent powerlifting coach instead to perfect programming, techniqe, diet and keep you on track/accountable. You’ll probably be stronger 10 years down the track that way instead of stalling out and watching a bunch of natty skinny cunts passing you by on the gain train.
You’re gonna need to gain some weight/muscle sooner or later to keep making progress. Even if the 165 lb / 72 kg class is where you are right now or want to be in long term for some reason, e.g. peak performance at this weight / your “optimal” weight class (unlikely unless you’re really short) or you like to be shredded as fuark which has little to do with anything because all you want is to be stronger, a decent off season followed by a recomp and cut back into your preferred weight class is the way to go.
Really appreciate all the feedback guys and I guess I will put it off for some time. It’s just REALLY tempting!
