I'm 18 and I Will Hop On

As you readed in the title, Im 18 y/o, growth plates fused, test on the mid normal range, all the other values (cholesterol, e2, etc) are ok. I have my diet in check, I know how to eat, and have 0 trouble eating 5000 calories of whole foods. I also know how to train, I compete in powerlifting, I currently weight 73 kg and my maxes are 175 kg deadlift, 145 kg squat and 110 kg bench. I understand the risks, im an adult and I’m self-reliant. I know I can be on trt for life (although I also know there isnt any evidence that Im more prone to it than a 30 y/o), I know all the risks. I’vereaded anabolics from william Llwellyn twice. Ill attach pics of my current physique, drug free.

My cycle will be:
Weeks 1-15: 600 mg test e (300 e3.5d)
Weeks 1-15: 0.5 mg adex eod
Weeks 17-21: Nolvadex 40/40/20/20
(Maybe also a little dbol the last 3 or 2 weeks before the meet)

Diet will be 3500 kcal the first week, ramping up around 250 more kcal every week.

I’ll do it, period. I know some of you will run your mouths at me, you may also help me and give me your advice. Thanks to everyone in advance.

So if you already know it all and plan to do it anyways, why the fuck are you here? Trolly kid.

So knowleadgable people cam give me more advice.

wow, it seems every second topic is an 18 year old cycling, as ironic as it sounds I find this slightly irritating. As to your growth plates being fused, have you had X-rays of your ephysial plates? My bone age was 16 when I was 14, 15 when I was 13 etc. Reading anabolics by William Llwellyn isn’t enough, it’s best to understand how these compounds affect the body on a molecular/cellular level too, I’ve actually never read anabolics or any of the supposed steroid guru books, most of my knowledge comes from clinical data, me having a broad range of knowledge with regards to medicine/pharmacy, a bit of chemistry and biomedical science, knowing simply what something is and the potential side effects isn’t enough, you need to know why these side effects from AAS occur (mechanisms etc) so you can deal with them if they happen. Are you aware it isn’t just muscle tissue that contains androgen receptors, cardiac myocytes contain androgen receptors, as do certain regions of the brain. Brain development finishes in men at roughly age 25, there is some evidence to suggest long term abuse of AAS has neurotoxic effects with a few studies showing white and grey matter abnormalities in long term anabolic steroid users, that being said the average dose being used in this study was 1200mg/ week of something, with the 75th percentile (3rd quarter) being over 7000mg/week, so this is serious, serious abuse. Other studies have shown AAS may impact visuospacial cognitive functioning negatively, the possibility of having negative effects with regards to neurotoxicity and cognitive function is likely heightened by teenage use by the mere fact that our brains haven’t finished developing, you need to seriously think about this, you’re shutting down a perfectly functioning endocrine system, and with the doses you are starting with you may be looking at sub-clinical to serious myocardial dysfunction over time.

Secondly, define mid-range testosterone levels, give me an exact measurement

How tall are you? The one pic you posted has what I call (half-natty light) flatters your physique, I can take a picture in that kind of lighting and look halfway decent too, with a pump I would legitimately look fairly-aesthetic. You have impressive lower back development, I attribute that to your powerlifting style training routine, other than that there’s nothing to seriously write home about, you seem to have good insertions/ nice size with regards to specifically the lateral head of your triceps. lifting stats are pretty good. I suppose you are more focused on PL than bodybuilding though, 600mg of test/wk is a lot more than you need for a first cycle, if you’re going to do it anyway use less, always try get by with the lowest possible amount of drugs, this way you can potentially minimize long term health implications as well, seriously, use the lowest dose possible, get adequate antioxidant/ anti inflammatory supplements, eat a clean diet, make sure to get plenty of aerobic exercise. Do you regularly drink to excess or use recreational drugs (like most 18 year olds I know), if so… stop using them before you cycle.

What’s your PCT?

On a side note: Was T-nation always like this (people coming in stating IM GOING TO CYCLE nothing will stop me etc.) This comes off as arrogant and not many people will want to help you, for powerlifting halo is better than dbol, but I wouldn’t use either on a first cycle. How long have you been lifting for?

This is quality advice. First of all if I’m sorry if I sounded like a morron “nothing will stop me” like, I just wanted to avoid the straight up “don’t do it” comments. My pct is noted with the other drugs, Nolvadex 40/40/20/20 is what I planned, may also add clomid but I don’t think I will. Im 5’10 and don’t look great by any means, I train for lifting heavy stuff mainly, I will dedicate a big part of the cycle to my physique though. My test is 650 ng/dl. How much test would you recommend if 600 (potentially 500-ish, as is UGL) is too much?
I had x rays for all my growth plates. They are all closed since I’m 17. I don’t do drugs other than weed ocasionally, which I already stopped 2 weeks prior to the cycle (now) and I dont do any alcohol at all.

Good luck man. Seems like you have it all figured out! Not to parrot @newbvet, but your answer doesn’t quite line up with his question so I’ll ask it again…why the fuck are you here? You want advice from people with experience, but it sounds to me like you don’t want to hear it unless it lines up with what you’ve already predetermined in your own mind.

That’s cool man. I get it. I have a son that is 18 so I am not taken aback at all by your approach to this. I am also not going to try to convince you otherwise because…again, I have an 18 year old son and I know that when you’re mind is made up you’ll just have to learn things the “hard” way.

Hope the best for you man. I’ll remember your screen name and I’ll set a reminder for a few years down the road to start looking for post from you with the title “Been on test for years. My wife wants to have kids but I’ve fucked myself up so much that I don’t think it’s possible. WHAT DO I DO???”

But hey, on the bright side…you’ll have a GREAT physique!!

Great, you are such a badass that in that case, I would tell my wife to fuck with you, and happily take care of the children. Thanks for your help.

Wow…good luck man.

Optimal dose is 0mgs/wk, however that’s not an option. I wish I could give you a recommended dose, however I don’t feel comfortable dishing out cycle advice, especially to other individuals who are around my age

You didn’t sound like a moron, no need to be so harsh on yourself, it just came across as arrogant/cocky

if this is the case are you looking to make a certain weight class, therefore the stronger you are the higher chance you have at winning (I don’t know powerlifting, just bodybuilding, olympic lifting and strongman)

Yeah a 2 plate bench and 3 plate squat is total beginner level in terms of competitive powerlifting. Hold off until you are a hitting 3 plate bench and 5 plate dead or squat each for 3 +reps

LOL so now I have to earn the right to use steroids? Im so sorry I’m not on your minimum strength standard, sir.

I mean, considering steroids will push you past your genetic limits, it’s not unreasonable that people are suggesting you get a tiny bit closer to said limits, is it? At your age, your body will achieve strength and size gains at a higher rate than any other time in your life, and some people - AAS users included - would kill to be your age, looking like you do, with a world of potential ahead of you. But, we see you every other day in here, Mr. Angsty Teenager. Good luck with your cycle, and I’ll see you in 2 days with slightly different stats, and the same juvenile attitude. Til then, Cheerio.

This is what I was talking about when I said you came across as cocky and arrogant, no one is going to want to help you if you talk to people like this, we aren’t being dicks, quite the contrary, people are telling you not to use because they care and don’t want to see another kid fuck himself up. Could you get away scot free? Sure, but why take the risk, you’re 18, with a perfectly functioning endocrine system, you’re 5’10 (nice height) and you have a body that is better than 95 percent of the general populace, so why risk it all when you’ve already got so much? From what I can tell (not sure about your home situation and whatnot) you have no right to be as angsty as you seem to be.

Me on the otherhand, ANGST to the max, 5’5 and not growing anymore, chronic pain, dependant on test and other medications for the rest of my life, no friends, I have autism, bodybuilding and heavy music is my only solace/ escape, school was and still is always a nightmare for me with regards to socialising, aside from the one year I actually had a good friend and a GF, and as soon as that happened I had to move countries… Again, which resulted in me loosing contact with both of them, be happy for what you have

Anyhow that’s me done, I’m out (or as they say in Canada) I’m oot… I’m not Canadian nor do I live in canada

There is actually a valid point to this, especially with regards to powerlifting. If one is lifting heavy weights with AAS (as in… Powerlifting style training) the rapid strength gain induced from AAS use via CNS stimulation/ increased neuromuscular blablabla and increased muscle mass gives you a high chance of injuries specifically muscle tears as the muscles get stronger at a far faster rate than tendons can adapt to. Being able to bench 110kg, going on a cycle and suddenly benching 180-190kg is a recipie for disaster, being able to bench 170kg at the start, going on cycle and then benching 190kg… Less chance of serious injury, with bodybuilding the same standard doesn’t entirely apply as one doesn’t look to lift particularly heavy weights however it’s always good to have a base

I don’t understand this one, either we are talking about another teenager or he creates another account, which would be pointless as he would still get the same answer unless he touted himself to be 30+ years old

I’m natural, 3 inches shorter, leaner, weighing just 1 kg less. And there’s much more headroom for me to grow. Imagine how much headroom you still have.

You’re nowhere near good enough to start anything. And I’m saying this because I care, not to talk you down. You’re 18. 7 more years will pass before your cognitive abilities fully develop. You’re in no state to make a sound decision.

If you can do all of these and know how to set up a proper training program, you can get a lot further than you are now without using anything. Don’t fuck yourself up for life just to gain muscle faster.

You might reach a natural point where you won’t want to get any bigger or stronger anymore. I know I do, even though I thought I’d never be happy with a natural physique.

88kg @12% bodyfat is attainable naturally at 5’10.
73kg @13-14% bodyfat is where you’re at.

Let that sink in.

600mg/w is probably too much for a first run. Also, that amount of arimidex is maybe a little high. I’d start out with dosing it e3d instead of eod. Make sure you get mid cycle blood work, it’ll give you invaluable data.

FUCK, why is everyone so tall! Anything above 5’5 is giant territory you guys #secretlyinsecure

I’ll never understand why someone who has a decent physique and a good base of strength is hell bent on taking steroids at such a young age when his test levels are naturally higher. Why would you not push yourself naturally first? Why wouldn’t you find out what you can accomplish without assistance first?

It makes no god damn sense. You have no idea if what you want now will even matter to you when you’re 22 let alone 30.

I’m glad the thought never crossed my dumb “adult” mind at 18.

So 0.5 e3d?

So you’ve made up your mind to do it. Well I’m not going to try to change your mind but would like to rely some wisdom from a guy who is much older, made mistakes in life, learned from them and wish I knew at 18 what I know at 59.
When I was 18 I thought I knew it all and my dad was always trying to give me advice and I would blow him off as some stupid old man who didn’t know anything. It’s amazing how smart he got by the time I was 25.
Basically most things that are so important to you now will not be by the time you are 25. The person you are now will be nothing like the one at 25.
Good luck young man!
