This is random, but I just picked up a copy of the CTL diet and browsed through it before wrapping it as a Christmas present. Anyway, I happened to see a quote from you about how effective it was. I just wanted to get it straight from the horse’s mouth (so to speak of course!). What did you really think about it? Pros? Cons?
Thanks. :)[/quote]
Hey Sic,
Thanks for stopping by. The CTL diet was good for me. I did drop inches and weight. Once you get the hang of the carb timing it is not so bad. The only difficulty I really had was with the amount of cardio Joel wanted – it really started to cut into my squat. So I adjusted the cardio – ready to only walking and almost out. That is when my results slowed down.
Good luck – How have you been doing anyways?

Hey Susan,
Not too bad, thanks for asking. Mostly just tired. But all is well – be glad when the holidays are over and life can get back to normal…well as normal as it ever is. LOL

Thanks c., Olesya, Gill and Jack.
I hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving!
Just got this link for video taken of my lifting at World’s…if anyone is interested. Feedback on form is greatly appreciated, as I am trying to improve and figure out how to hit my goal numbers.

First, congratulations on your Gold. Well done.
I did take a look at your video and have something for you to consider. On your squats it looks like coming out of the hole your shift left to take more of the weight with that side. On the second squat it is more apparent and it looks like you shift left and then back to center about 3/4 the way up.
Sometimes video is misleading but I would advise you to have a qualified person watch you carefully to see if you favor one side over the other. If there is some shifting then it would probably be wise to compare range of motion on all lower body joints for differences and to compare strengths on unilateral exercises like Bulgarian squats, lunges, 1-leg deadlifts, step ups etc.
Good luck on your 2008 goals.

Thank you and yes I do shift – but I think it is to the right side. And I am planning on doing just that - getting it evaluated. I have started working with an Ian King trainer – so I will be flying out to see someone to have all of the above evaluated. I intend on fending off any injuries before they happen. I have had enough of them already – and really do not want any more.
With that being said – the posting of my workouts from this point on will be a bit vague. I will still post general ideas, ie that I squated and hit a 290 tonight. Time of sets ect will not be listed tho. Sorry c.
This will start her on out.
Tonights training –
Warm up
Stretching
Squats –
Knee sleeves
bar
135
185
belt

I am not feeling up to par the past couple of days. Mother nature hit this morning and she has been very unkind. I am hoping that is all that is wrong…
Malinda
I hope you feel better soon.
Claire
Sure hope that is all it is for you Malinda, otherwise it just sucks. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Claire.
Well they went. I hit the number I wanted, just not the reps. So I guess half is better than none.

I put my belt on for the last two sets at 350.

9 weeks. It’s coming fast.
Cold. We are suppose to get freezing rain tomorrow night. So probably no school on Monday. I prefer the snow storms. I hate dealing with ice. Even with studded snow tires and all wheel drive it is still dangerous.
