I am working on my form – such that it is. It seems that I am using way too much back. I moved my stance out slightly and that seemed to help some. Really concentrating on pulling myself down to the bar, shoulders down, pelvis locked in and such. Gonna take some time to correct it, but it can and will be done.
Lat pull down
85,100,120 for sets of 8
Good mornings
135 x 6 for two sets
Muscle stim training this am for 2.5 hrs
and last night for 2 hrs after my other training.
Thanks…but I have done more reps with more weight, so not such a good day :(.
The muscle stim training I have done both ways – but right now I am alternating between CNS recovery and muscle work. I am only sitting with it on right now, working hams, bis, quads, pecs, glutes, tris in that order. I take the stimulation up as high as I can stand it and then sit for 10 minutes. It makes the muscle contract 500 times a minute…hurts like h*ll.

Malinda,
Have you ever considered switching to sumo-style deads? That might help you in terms of getting a real low base at the beginning of the lift.[/quote]
Dan,
I have tried sumo before and it did not go so well. How ever I am considering atleast training a bit more in the sumo stance for a more balanced lifting profile.

Gotcha. Sumo is definitely not for everyone. I tend to lift a bit more when I pull that way. I think cycling it in can help when you go back to traditional stance.
Serious question, how do you not get all tangled up in the wires when you train with the stim on? Do you not hurt after all that? I had something similar in physio and it helped but it was very painful to have it done.
Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned this time around. Your log is very advanced for my comprehension at this point but I figure if I keep reading it, one of these days it’ll sink in.

It is difficult. I have to be really careful of where I place the machine, the wires and my set up. I am actually feeling ok – but then again it is back on the machine tonight for another two hours.

This is random, but I just picked up a copy of the CTL diet and browsed through it before wrapping it as a Christmas present. Anyway, I happened to see a quote from you about how effective it was. I just wanted to get it straight from the horse’s mouth (so to speak of course!). What did you really think about it? Pros? Cons?
