For those who are in the market for a EDC 9mm:
Ooh thank you for sharing this!
Dani, be sure to understand that the smaller the pistol, the harder it is to shoot it well.
Cheers,
This is so good to know. I’ll make sure to never get a gun just because it’s “cute” or fits into a small purse. Great tip!
I have a little Derringer that I probably couldn’t hit a wall with from 10 feet away. Got it as a white elephant gift at our Sunday School class Christmas party.
Define "small"
purse

If you commit to CCW carry on a daily basis, you will need to invest in a quality belt. A poor belt will leave you constantly tugging at your holster and you might as well carry a sign that says" lookee, I got a gun". I have personally used the Bullhide steel core belt for the past four years. Don’t settle for some cheap belt, because, when the STTF, you need a stable platform to draw.
Good tip. I can vouch for the belts from Kore Essentials, Hanks, and Blue Alpha (low profile one).
Ha!! My purses are actually getting smaller and smaller. But a 9 mm fits PERFECTLY in this cute little Fanny pack.
And there’s no printing — you can’t see it in there. I haven’t carried in public anywhere yet though.
This is incredible advice. Thank you for posting it!
I am surprised that other firearms companies have not released a handgun model manufactured for women shooters. Now, I am not talking about guns pained pink, which I find stupid. For the last several years, women have been the fastest growing rank of shooters. It is about time someone stepped up.
This is smart: reduced grip circumference, reduced trigger reach, easier to rack.
I remember the “LadySmith” revolvers from years ago. Mainly reduced trigger pull, as I recall, plus a few “pretty” touches. Dani is plenty strong, but had a tough time pulling the trigger on my S&W Governor. More of an ergonomics issue than a strength issue.
I agree about “guns painted pink”. First, that’s a little pandering. Second, the guns look like toys. Silly.
Oh good timing! I needed this article.
Food for your thoughts:
This is SO freaking helpful! I’m always having these types of conversations with Chris. Thank you!
Any thoughts on these things?
