got the kids off to school, showered(even shaved my legs!)

and took my ‘before,’ pics…I weighed myself straight outta bed this morning too…it’s worse than I thought.

it’s my own stupid fault.

I’m not asking for much. I’d like to be in the 160s at least and fn maintain that. Or am I supposed to say, ‘oh well! I’m old now…I had my chance. I’m destined to be squishy the rest of my life, so why bother?’ ‘pass me the rice crispy treats, whats another 5 pounds.’

And this is weird, but I think my whole left side is dead. It’s bigger and weaker than my right. I have no bicep when I flex, my upper thigh is an inch bigger, my left boob is bigger(thanks bf’ing!) and I was just taking measurements and I noticed that I even have more fat on my hip…wth?

Probably only noticeable by me, but still…it’s weird!!!

If you’re right handed, it makes sense that the left might be a lil bigger. more neuro recruitment necessary on your non-dominant side to do the same amount of work.

I have that same left side problem, including bigger booby. Its kind of sexy in bed though when you think about it because its like being two different women. lol. The only thing that really bothers me is my biceps because I can see them all the time. I’m just gonna start killin it with the dumbbell curls and see if it takes care of that.

In fact, I think dumbbells are my new best friend. Also, I have an idea, don’t weigh yourself ever. You are a much sexier and more glorious than any silly digital number can ever express. That and I think Cbear might break your scale/face next time you do.

I can totally relate to your scale issues. I’m on the same journey, only I haven’t found out what I am for quite some time. Try to remember that the number on the scale is almost useless for a woman that carries muscle and is constantly working on that. I know it gives you a marker, but it has no way to measure your incredibleness, your strength and the way your hawt jeans fit. Please try to let it go…I promise to try and do the same.

You really can knock off this last little bit of ‘fat’ you’re aiming to part ways with. You LOOK amazing now, and you’ll LOOK amazing when you FEEL done with it :slight_smile: Just keep being awesome.

FM, my friend, the number on the scale told me that I ate too many baked goods without doing anything to counter act it.

I don’t have mental obsessive issues with the scale I promise. I didn’t need to weigh myself to know that I messed up, but I wanted to know. Does that make sense?

I will go by how the jeans fit from now on. Which btw, I can’t even come close to buttoning now…tartar sauce.

I can see the motivation returning!..if its not, fake it until you make it. That has always worked for me.

Last night I put a little bit of almond butter in cottage cheese and that indeed took care of the hunger better than fruit. Luckily I LOVE cottage cheese. Mmmm.

The scale keeps me honest. I respect other methods, but that one does work for me. Tough love, I think of it.

Thanks Kimba!!..though my mood could be better. Have I said that expression here before? Because faking it til I make it has been my motto since hubby left again.

Anywho, glad the cottage cheese worked. I discovered a little trick. I put about 1/2 tbsp of jelly and mix it in. It basically tastes like the fruit on the bottom type cottage cheese, but with less sugar cause it’s only a little bit. really hits the spot when I want something sweet.

Im not totally against the scale. But I don’t need it to know that eating a pan of rice crispy treats in a day probably isn’t the best idea. And then turning around making cookies the next day, just have them gone by Monday. ya

ugh, what a day.

Im hungry. I wasn’t hungry til afternoon and now I feel like I could eat and eat cups of oatmeal.

In that vein, whenever I’m craving shite food I basically remind myself exactly that, its nurtritionally irrelevant! Especially bready things…nutritional value of wallpaper glue I tell ya. Which is why its nice that chocolate has some nutri-perks :slight_smile:

Hi Upscale! Part of the extreme nature of the type of dieting I torture myself with doesn’t include fats accept for fish oil caps. I don’t mention those cause there boring…so is the food I eat for that matter. It’s only for the short term, but I tell ya what, it works and it works fast. I maintained my weight for almost a year until I effed up and binged on baked good through this summer. I suppose you can say I was feeling sorry for myself and the rice crispy treats were comforting. oops

This diet is only meant for the short term. But don’t worry, I get refeeds! And I’m only doing this until mid-Octoberish or until I lose 10lbs…whichever comes first.

I had to force myself into the gym. The weather outside is so refreshing and I wanted to go walking in it. But my daughter doesn’t have school Fridays and she doesn’t like going to the gym without her bro. I could take her if I had to, but I figure I’d be nice and we could go for a walk together or just be lazy in the morning…
