Finish What You Started

FA= fat ass? lol
I feel special, that you would MAKE me a cheesecake.

Ran into a piece of pound, huh…did you get pounded? That doesn’t even make sense. I haven’t even taken the scale outta the box, its whatever to me… it’s JUST a guideline, thats it.

I’ll take measurements/pics on Monday.

You are a strong, beautiful woman. Do not panic about the scale.

Figure Athlete?

MIM - I just wanted to add my voice to the well wishes. you have a beautiful family

Hope everyone is enjoying what is most likely a day off today.

I got to chat with the hubby this morning, so that was nice. I made the mistake of watching stuff on 9/11 last night and then the evening news. I didn’t sleep well…

He is safely secured in his new temp home…he says it’s like a fortress with everything guarding that area, from helos to drones, tanks, etc…that makes me feel a tiny bit better, I suppose.

In other news I have my plan of action mapped out. Today, being day one.
The tone of my posts don’t sound right without smileys and winks, haha.

and of course I’m STARVING today…

Hello metabolism! I’ve been feeding you junk lately. Please accept my apology and allow the junk in my trunk to melt away.
Thanks,
Me

We don’t have Labour Day here - everyone’s working. Except me because I have no job. sadface
I’m on a low carb jag again after some rather out of control PMS noshing… I feel OK mind you.
Then again I realised that, being at home, I’m now getting through a litre of milk a day just in cups of tea. That’s 50g carbs and 350 cals! Yikes. (But hey I LOVE tea. I’m English…)

went on an impromtu nature hike with the kidlets…it’s about a half mile trail in the woods. Saw a deer and pretended to shoot it for the hubby.

PS, I’m HUNGRY!!

Forgot what this feels like. Hunger is fat leaving the body…word

I am hungry today too, so I completely understand. Going for the grapes and hoping that takes care of it.

Yay for the nature hike! Its fun to do something different.

i HATE the hunger after I’ve been eating bad for a while…stupid body not listening to what i want it to do!

Kimba - unlikely. Grapes are pretty much pure sugar - what you need is fat and protein.
I’m low carbing at the moment - I’m eating tuna, eggs, ground beef (or mince as we call it over in Blighty) and I’m not very hungry at all.
If I do get hungry, I find some glutamine in warm water takes care of it. Glutamine is my best friend.

Agreed on the glutamine! I take that peri w/o - i think it works…

I will say this, I also hate hunger, but I love the feeling of running off energy stores. Gives you that feeling like you have a little ball of fire in your belly…amiright? (then i wonder why my friends tell me I sound like I have an eating disorder…sigh)

No matter what you do, you’ll succeed. I’m sure of it

Alpha- I believe I ate enough bad food in the months of July and August to last me the rest of the year. I don’t have the body type to get away with it, nor did I train hard enough to keep it at bay…lesson learned.

Kimba- I agree with Cal. If I get hungry at night I normally reach for cottage cheese or something like that. Cottage cheese is awesome!

Masch- I have plenty of ‘energy,’ stored…haha! I don’t mind being hungry. To me it means, things are working…I know that if I just ate 10oz of chicken and heaps of broccoli that my brain is just playing against me…

I just downed a chocolate protein shake blended with ice and coffee…not bad!
I’m having a hard time dragging myself to the gym once the kids are off to school. Can I just take walks and do pushups and lunges instead? nah… I love the gym but I don’t want to leave the quiet and see people doing stupid things. My daughter goes half days, bus drops her off about noon.

Oh, I saw a dude in Wendys the other day. (I took the kids up to Annapolis on Sunday btw, good times)…Anywho, I recognized his face from the gym, only he was in a COP uniform! I was surprised…here I thought by the looks of him he was a dopey juiced up dude…serves me right to judge like that.

Made it to the gym. That seems like a feat in of itself these days. I feel like Eeyore.

I almost turned around to come home though. But in the end I’m glad I went. I even grabbed two orientation sheets on my way out. I have to at least appear that I am making an effort to train people I suppose. I’m still considered a ‘trainer,’ there which is paying for my membership, ha. My heart just isn’t in it right now. But I gotta try.

Kept my training basic…well tried to. I get excited when I get into it and have to keep myself from doing more than necessary.

4x6( lifting heavyish while dieting to preserve and maintain muscle…thats my feeling about that anyway)

squats 4x6x115
see saw press-4x6x35s
lat pulldowns 4x6x100
alt lunges- 4x bwx20es
rdls 4x6x135
lat raises- 3x10x15s
curls
something for tris
planks into downward dog??-4x

MiM - I am struggling with motivation myself. I think we all go through phases. I think you just have to do what you can until it passes. Sounds like you had a decent workout anyway. When I’m unmotivated my workouts tend to peter out, so to speak. I’ll do my main exercise(s) then make a half-arsed attempt at something else, decide I can’t be bothered and go home. Hrmm.

I’ll get back into it I’m sure. I’m in a funny in between place anyway, what with the (lack of) job, plus my instructor exam is on Monday, and everything’s a bit up in the air.

Anyway, you’re doing alright, from the sound of it.

Thanks. It’s not the lack of motivation to train, it’s my lack of desire to leave my home, ha!
Hope you snap out of your funk Cal…it’s not a fun place to be.

Guess who wants to go on another nature walk? My daughter! My little 3 yr old spongebob obsessed daughter wants to go out walking…fine by me!

Foods-

protein shake

tuna+ shredded cabbage( mix wasabi paste, soy sauce, lemon juice and sesame seeds) YUMMMM!

cottage cheese with a dallop of strawberry jam mixed in

tuna n cabbage thing again

still hungry, piece of chicken n cauli…(chicken slow cooked with ginger garlic and teriyaki…oh and the tenderizer makes it magic)

no cheats About 2 pounds of veggies…The cabbage was pre shredded in the bag…cauli was chopped and stored by me… I realized that I have been neglecting my veggies and probably eating 2 pounds of fruit instead over the summer. oops
Looking forward to the fall and going apple picking and making everything out of butternut squash. mmmm

This is lame!! Cutting is over rated! i’m just waiting for the “hot curvy MIM” pics to come out so I have something to fantasize about!!!

You have NOTHING to worry about hottie!

you got me at butternut squash…YUM. last year Costco had it in a perfect size container, already chopped and ready to go. PERFECT for PWO with pro powder mixed in a lil organic maple syrup on top…hell yeah! yes to veggies and being an Eeore is ok now and then.

a note on the “last 10”
you have accomplished some amazing things, a real transformation. the #'s at this point do not really matter, IMO. although i understand your desire to get even leaner. this comes from someone who has been trying to lose the “last 10” for a couple years now. i’m almost inclined to think that most of us have a natural set point that the body just makes it SOOOOOO difficult to get beyond. (and this can mean gains or losing) this gets tougher as we age. what was easy at 35 has dramatically changed in just 2 years for me…

your hawt. don’t go all FA <<<<yeah, you know that’s Figure Athlete…we love the strong, hot mama who’s worked so hard!

and so glad to hear you got to talk to the hubby and he is safe!
