Finish What You Started

Rowing is brutal. You’ll improve quickly though I’m sure.

I could get down with some hill sprints…it ends quicker than say running for miles on end.

Its not a very big hill…From bottom to top, probably 20 seconds? (if that) I’ll try it out sometime with the kids, so it doesn’t look as weird as an adult just randomly running up a hill and walking back down it, HAHA!

Rowing is indeed harder then it looks
nice work.

Holidays are a bit of a drag here too-
Inlaws done my crazy family still to go
too many gifts for little guy
and too much candy

princess will bring home good news

did I ever tell you how much I love your hair?

and rowing is tough, you need to find a groove and kinda zone with the music…

Rowing can be brutal. I find it best for HIIT rather than steady state (the fact you can’t scratch an itch on your nose or take a drink while you’re doing it doesn’t help when it comes to endurance training).

My rower is very very basic. How would I do HIIT on it?

Training:

front squat/press
bb row

push ups- 10lb plate
inverted rows
step ups

Seated lat raises
alt db curl
face pulls

I plan on going in tomorrow for the final workout of 2010!

This year has gone by freakishly fast but I’m excited for the new year…(for obvious reasons) but I have a feeling it’s going to be GREAT!!

someone give me a boost up onto the food rehab wagon. I can’t even pull myself up! (just one goal of mine for 2011)

It’s hard getting ‘clean’. And I didn’t even do terribly this month! But that haunting habit of BLT’s(bites licks tastes) came back to bite,(no pun) and its time to put it to rest once more.

Now I am off to run up and down a hill and walk around the block to watch my daughter ride her new scooter.

Oh come on MiM, you can do it. Just think for a second before nibbling, about how it will lead to more nibbling. You can do this, you’re stronger than you give yourself for being.

Just do it!

Have a great rest of the year, and kick even more ass in 2011!

Hey Mr. Ink!
I know…just whining for a second. I’m over it!

sprints up a snowy hill in sneakers was fun! haha

It was more like trudging up the hill…even still it took 18-20 seconds…

Whats the standard hill sprint protocol? Mommy likes!

you got this mamacita!! just think of how AMAZING it feels to eat nice and clean and wake up each day knowing you killed it the day before. lean and mean and sexay…baby. =+)

OH!
I wanted to share a recipe that I think you would all enjoy. There kinda fatteh, so it can be something to enjoy every once in awhile.

Eggy Cheesy muffins:

8oz sliced mushroom(canned works too)
4 green onions

1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

10 eggs slightly beaten…
ADD:
4c shredded cheese
2 cups small curd cottage cheese
8 oz cubed ham
1/2 cup melted butter

Saute mushrooms and onions.
Add dry ingredients; mushroom, onions and melted butter to egg mixture. Fill sprayed muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake @350 for 35-40 min.

These things are strangely addictive. A batch makes about 48 of them, and around here they lasted about 3 days. You can thank my MIL. It’s a wonder I still fit in my pants with all the goody yums yums she made while she was here!
I’m blaming PMS for my insatiable urge to cram buckets of carbs into my face. Im resisting that urge of course.

That hill sounds brutal. Mine takes about 12-15 seconds to get up and I wish it was a tiny bit longer

Oh yeah, you def got this Betty!! I have no doubt that you’ll get the diet in check without a problem. And FTR, I totally pulled a Kimba and threw out the rest of a box of chocolates that my friend Julio gave me. My epiphany was when I said all wild-eyed and crazy like, “damn these chocolate truffles are good! I bet they’d taste even better melted on toast!!” HAHAH! and yes, i was right, toast and chocolate IS delicious. yikes…

Heck yeah for the hill sprinting!! Its so good for you, even 20 secs worth! And in snow, no less. Good stuff.

I know girl, this year has gone by so unbelievably fast! So weird. And here I thought that was just a by-product of turning 30. HAH!

Happy New Years mama!! See you in 2011

Heh, I’m struggling with the diet myself (doesn’t help that Flo is due next week). ALL my pants are too tight. I can do them up but when I put on weight around hips and thighs, they get uncomfortably tight in the crotch. Looks like I may be resorting to yoga pants for the party. Ugh. Still, Jan 1st tomorrow so clean slate and all that.

Ink- I’ve been scoping some other hills out!

Maschy- I was throwing out stuff the day the In-laws left. I felt bad, since MIL pre-made all these goodies that just needed finishing touches. But I’m a recovering junk-aholic it seems. It had to go.

Cal- here’s hoping you find that land they call maintainance. I know it will always be a struggle for me as well. Will we ever learn? lol

Ending the year on a positive note. With sentiments to carry over to the next.
It’s time to step out of my bubble and really challenge myself!!

Worked up to 175 on the squat, which is a PR for me. Last time I attempted it I was 200+ lbs and nearly missed it. *in the background there, is ‘Steve the PL’er guy,’ who once, many moons ago said he could train me for a meet if I wanted. I don’t think he recognizes me anymore though.

And in honor of not always being awesome here is a bench fail @125…I got 115 easy, so I thought what the heck? Not terrible for not really benching all that much. I just wanted to try! it’s ok, you can laugh at my sucky set up. no clue what Im doing there

I’m wincing at the bench fail - get a spotter next time! Don’t want that bar to end up on your pretty face.
You made the squat look easy though! How about 200lbs for 2011? (That’s the bar, not you this time!)

Heck yeah! you made that squat look easy!! You’ll hit 200 in no time! Well done mama.

And you may have failed on that bench, but you looked damn good doing it

Keep on keepin’ on woman!

Happy new year mim. All the best in 2011. Love the vids. It’s great to see you pushing the strength and running the hills!

Thanks…you TOO!!

I’m looking forward to pushing the envelope, so to speak…

Not doing anything tonight. Kinda napped on the couch for a few. Kids are in bed and the house is QUIET…ommmm. We’ll see if I make it til midnight…doubt it.

I had some sushi and cheesecake…and about to have a glass of wine…cheers to ALL!
