you’re damn right he has a job to do. he’s been trained, and well. he’s doing this so that you, and your children, and every whiny bitch on FB, and every anti-government hippie, every welfare sucking cunt can sleep safely at night. Never knowing what its like to have the streets of your hometown occupied by soldiers of another country, never knowing what mortars on the neighbors house sounds like. He’s doing it so that someone else doesn’t have to.

your job is to be proud of him, and show that in everything you do.
Jesus, Claire, I loved this!

Betty, you are awesome. If you break down, publicly or privately, no one would begrudge you your tears. You are the wife of a military man. That is a hard job, made even harder during war. It’s people like you and your husband who keep this country safe and nothing we civilians can or would do would be enough thanks for that. Let your husband know that we’re behind him 110% and hope and pray he will be kept safe.

He has people counting on him to do a good job. And I got people counting on me! This is the pinnacle of his career in the military. He has been all around the world, but never placed directly in the middle of a war zone.
Whatever you believe in or pray to, keep him and his fellow soldiers in your thoughts. Thanks.
I sure will and you’re in my thoughts too.

That’s like a mini-Betty in his arms there! You have a beautiful family.

Hang in there Betty. Deployment is a bitch. Wait until he gets a load of that hourglass figure…

You’re my #1 MILF.

Beautiful family, Betty! Your little one looks like a spitfire, just as you’ve described.
I’ll echo what’s already been said, particulary what Claire said. You all are in my thoughts. My heartfelt gratitude to him and every other soldier out there.

Big ehugs- Hang in there, we are here for ya!

Playing favorites, are we?

Betty, I think your daughter looks like YOU!

He is a good one, and is doing his calling, job and duty. Pray, be proud and take care of home so he can focus on what he needs to do…I know you are already doing all of this, but just know that you have a lot of fans out here who are just as proud of all of you that need to stay home. you have the harder job.

keep your chin up girlie, he will be back in no time

I need to find your thread…

Thank you ALL! It seems silly to share stuff like this on a forum that is meant to sell supps. But I appreciate the support just the same.

Being a military wife is all I know. I met my hubby in boot camp nearly 14 years ago! Well, your not actually supposed to meet people in boot camp, but we literally bumped into each other and the rest is history

I’ve seen and heard about some messed up stuff concerning military wives/girlfriends… Maybe it helps that I was in the Navy too. I have more respect than that. For myself and for him.

Print- thanks for dropping in and the nice compliment. I’m flattered.

Alpha- always a pleasure. Thanks for the kind words.

And ladies…Thanks!

Hubby called about 2 hours ago. They had just landed in Germany and should be making there way to there next stop by now.

Skipped the gym to get food in this house!! The gym will be there tomorrow.

Hey Masch- I didn’t mean to ignore you the other day…yessss, lunges(of all varieties) are awesome for the bootay…single leg work for that matter is pretty awesome. I always ‘feel it’ so much more in the following days after!

Oh the split squat is when you go up and down in one spot, and then repeat on the other side…its killer!

The one legged hyper is exactly how you described it. Not sure if I made it up or not…was just messing around one day! Try it!!

I had a run in with a bag of chocolate chips I found in the cupboard last night. I bought and forgot about them awhile back when I was going to make cookies.

There in the trash now after the third palm full.
I feel a little funky. But I’m pulling myself up by the bootstraps.

Ah, that kind of crap happens to me when I’m PMSing. At least you had the good sense to stop yourself and dump them in the bin.
And wow, your little girl looks as though she wants to murder the camera! I can see why she’s a handful, but she’s going to be a real heartbreaker in a few years.

a FEW YEARS??! she’s only 3, lol

I am pms’ing…maybe thats part of it. I didn’t go to the gym, but I went out on a 2.5mile walk…I’ll consider this my deload week. I feel tight and achey anyway.
Now going to Target for some more walking

No worries MiM! And thanks for answering

UGH! I’m with you - I have ‘run-ins’ too. And like Cal said, at least you thought better.

Enjoy your deload momma, and walking is the perfect deload exercise - eases the muscles, relaxes the mind.

OH MYGOD TARGET. Go get some badass $2 socks! they have so many varieties!

i’ll be pulling and praying for your family lady…You should be very proud, but its still a big burden, and i am very thankful, you’re sacrificing alot for all of us.

Heard from the hubby today. and he safely landed over there. I had a moment while talking to him. Like, it’s happening, we’re really doing this. I am now standing behind millions of women who have sent there men off into harms way.

pulled myself up by the bootstraps and made it to the gym… I’m done feeling sorry for myself now, kthnxbai.

Having friendly carb up today.

Corn chex this morning

Yam with lunch

oatmeal for a snack

And for dinner, not sure…thinking salad and some ice cream.ha!

But it’s been nice and has quelled all the little crazy voices in my head.

I chickened out and forgot to weigh myself this morning. But then I forgot I don’t have a scale…so I caved and bought a new one…should I even weigh myself?? hmm…or I can weigh once and then post weekly progress pics and you can take bets at how much I’m losing? that would keep it interesting! Then i won’t weigh myself til the 6 week mark again. Winner gets to buy me cheesecake.

I guess I’ll get a carbed up weight tomorrow morning. Dude. Maybe I should wait til Sunday then. Monday?

calm down with the scale, woman. youre starting to sound like a FA.

no way in hell would i buy you cheesecake. i’d make you one. once im motivated enough. (pegg gets one first)

if carbs quelled the voices in my head…

I ran into a piece of poundcake. Baked goods are my downfall, and occasionally bad things happen.

I understand about the scale. If I were you, I’d pick a time after a “normal” eating day not a carb-up or cheat day. Why set yourself up for feeling bad?
