I wish I had my bachelors so I can study for the cscs cert.
Thinkin about getting nutrition certified. Couldn’t hurt. After all, training is only part of the puzzle.
GD- so your saying I should show off the girls? haha…strength training is sexxy!
I bought Riptoes books(like just now) to study up and to get ideas… I’ll put it to use for a few weeks to get a feel of the programming.

Well, not necessarily showing off the girls :). Just being aware of the overall image.
If you step back and think about the true reason “why” you want to do this program, what is the answer? If it is financial then that will involve building a base of clients that are interested in your approach.
I think there is an argument for free/low cost seminars on basic lifts concentrating on proper form. These mini-seminars are your marketing opportunity to communicate your strength-based approach to fitness that includes GPP (complexes, maybe prowler / sled). The real money comes from those on-going clients that start with a goal and work a plan that you develop for them.
Ultimately, if you can train people in small groups, that will allow you to replicate your time and make much more per hour.
Ultimately, it would be a like a small group class. For ex, one of the trainers has a sign up sheet for her ‘sweat shop,’ class every Tuesday/ Friday and she charges $10 a pop…and she easily gets 20 people a class…shit, if I could make $400 a week I’d be set!
It’s not about the money per se. It’s about marketing myself. I’ve been a ‘trainer,’ there for a year now, but I’m so invisible. It’s about giving this my all, before I move on to something else. Cause at least I can say I tried my best!
CB- you make me that cheesecake and we’ve got a deal
Deja-
Kimba- thanks! It’s a fairly new contraption and I don’t see anyone else using it.
I’m hungry…story of my freaking life. Then I was thinking, well, what would I eat right now if I weren’t dieting?? Hmm, a bowl of strawberries and whip cream and some almonds maybe cottage cheese too. So I’ll just have some cottage cheese. sad
