All the trainers train there people like that. Accept for Vic(who trains bb’ing style) and the other guy who I assume trains bb’ing style since he always has a bb.com shirt on.
Did you all see up to about the 5 min mark? Those ‘bicep curls.’ AGHHHHHHH!!!
Wow… I think that’s going to give me nightmares! I did notice the tiny ROM ‘bicep curls’ if that’s what you can call them - or those leg lift bicep curl thingies. Why make these exercises that much more difficult when they aren’t being done properly in a normal stance? Now hop around in a circle on one foot while curling! It’s a shame that that’s what these people are being taught…
I really wish you good luck in bringing some awesome to your gym with your program! I think the name you came up with is great too!
That was the one I refer to as the ‘popular trainer,’ training her flock.
My ‘competition.’
I just emailed the lady I interviewed with back in July. I just need to know if I can stop holding my breath or if she really IS going to offer me a position in her new gym. She is a PTA and cscs. It would be good times.
Whatever happens I’m still going to enroll in the PTA program and see what happens!
Thanks. We’ll see what happens. It’s one of those thing I at least gotta try and see what happens! I’ve heard of a few heavy lifting women who might be interested in joining my group. But if there already doing it they may just stick to themselves?
…who knows! I certainly don’t want to promote an us against them mentality. Everyone is welcome!
I want to appeal to those that don’t want to train like whatever that was you saw in that video. Bring back some old school lifting!!!
After all, this weight lifting thing was built upon the basic compound lifts, yet they are slowly dying out.
I’m so glad you all are finally seeing what I’ve been bitching about. I knew I couldn’t be the only to think that stuff is pretty nutty!
And what benefit are they getting out of it, aside from maybe sweating? And I hardly ever see this people training on there own. They NEED her to feel challenged.
you need to start wearing something low cut MIM, you’ve got a killer rack too! - just teasin.
my two cents: it’s all about the image and energy she projects. If she is convinced her way will work that conviction will be enough to sway those who are looking to be convinced. The sheep that don’t know better and just want to be told what to do.
Lol! That is scary! I also couldn’t watch the whole thing, but did skip to minute 5 - all sorts of hilarity. I’m with nlmain, i’m sure her energy, boobs and use of ‘anterier delt’ earn her credibility.
They def need the MiM revolution! And I really like Betty’s Basic Barbell
I’m glad you all are feeling my pain. I try to ignore it, but most times I catch my self just standing shaking my head mouthing, ‘WTF?’
N. you are very much right! She has great energy about her and big bewbs…me, I’m just laid back and I don’t give a damn.Nor do I wear lo cut shirts or booty shorts.
Quiet confidence… I guess thats the difference. Its like I’m trying to sale teeth drilling to people who don’t have cavities.
Thanks Maschy! we’ll see what happens. It’s not completely up to the director lady, but the manager of the gym. And he doesn’t like me. I’ll probably get shot down cause it’s ‘dangerous,’ but I gotta try!
The PT lady emailed me back and said they are still in the planning phase of getting the gym opening and still trying to find space. Its cool that she wrote back and remembered me though! Shes hoping to have it all set up by the beginning of 2011. I’d love to be a part of it, but I have to work with what I got.
Not bad for feeling blah. I’ve been fighting a cold off, etc…I was happy with my bench, considering I hardly ever bench press and it didn’t hurt my shoulder. I was doing the ext rotations in between sets. Squats felt slow and heavy. I haven’t squatted in nearly two weeks.
Heh, re your question in my journal, yes I did see that sad video
It made my heart bleed. I’ll admit though that I stopped watching when I saw her training the man. I was like “C’mon dude, you should know better, right?”
But from my gym class in PE, I learned that men want to “tone up” too.
I’m studying up on starting strength since I might teach it one day. I remember squatting like that but being told it was wrong.
It seemed I started sucking at squats when I began trying to lead with my chest outta the hole and not my butt…hmm
