Geezus you’re beautiful! Oh, I mean, strong. Same thing. ![]()
yes, bring on the porn! ![]()
I’m not a veggie, but sure can put em down!
How many pounds a day do you think you go through? I WISH I was confident enough to wear shorts like that to the gym…you GO GIRL!!
I like your reasoning…similar to mine
Especially because I HATE cardio too…unless its not forced. Like, hey lets go on a bike ride…or, its a nice day, think Ill go on a hike…stuff like that.
cardio haters!!! nothing feels better than sprints!!! (afterwards)
aahhh, I think you’re just secretly waiting for a PL contest to blow some of these chicks out of the water ! Your glutes and lower half look soooo powerful! I bet a 4 plate squat is not too far a reach.

Hear hear!
Veg, you kill it in the gym harder than 90% of the male population! A 4 plate squat isn’t far off at all.
I’ll put in my vote for veggie food porn. I know I need to eat more leafy stuff so I’d like to see what you eat so I can take some pointers from you.

And I think I would know if I was losing muscle or getting fat. Fortunately for me I seem not to be predisposed to either of those things.
Mesomorph soulmates.
I’m not really into body type labels though, but that label is pretty obvious with our height/weight and body comp.
Anyway, yes take us on a journey of the wonderful restaurants you eat at in Joisey. And the foods that cause controversy, i.e blueberries.
I dig your rational for GVT. That’s pretty much how I feel about 5-3-1’s BBB template. Where on the Jersey shore do you go? True Jersey shore–ie north Jersey or are you a south Jersey/Philly girl?
My parents retired down in Avalon. South. But, I grew up in North Jersey. My sister was once asked what it was like NOT to be Italian.
Your awesome Veg! I love the pics and think you look great - keep after it ![]()
I’d like to know what you eat once in a while for inspiration ![]()
Alright. Today was a strange day. Good news: I woke up and not only could walk, but I could get on and off of the toilet with little difficulty. Y’all know what I mean. Anyway, I generally only do some paperwork in the afternoon and the weekly staff meeting thing on Tues, so I slept in a bit. Drank a bunch of water, some green tea, and a 2 servings of Humapro. Go google it if you want to know what it is, basically pre-digested essential amino-acids AKA stuff ready for protein synthesis in the body. Lounged, read logs. Got a couple of texts from the office that the Tues receptionist was sick, strep throat. Finally got confirmation close to noon that I had to work. Whatever, I’m not used to running the desk and seeing patients at the same time, but I can do it. Showered, put some liniment on my tight lower back. Got dressed. As I was making the bed I managed to fling the not-quite-closed bottle of liniment across the room. Splashed on my pants. Nice, found a suitable pair that my legs/ass just barely fit into (wide-leg style WTF?). Drank another 2 servings of Humapro. Off to work.
Here’s what I ate in the car/closet AKA “my office” within the office during the afternoon:
a quart-sized bag of raw kale, 1/2 container of blueberries, 3/4 cup mixed almonds (roasted/salted), walnuts (raw), pepitas (raw), 1.5 whole grain oatmeal raisin cookies (there was 1/2 left over from yesterday, still in baggie), 3 oz of 1.5% milkfat cheddar cheese, a banana
Work wasn’t too bad. I love what I do, truly. Done around 7:30 pm, drank 2 more servings of Humapro and then a cup of black coffee with a shot of espresso while I drove to the gym. Trying not to be a coffee snob. I only drink it for therapeutic purposes, like before I train sometimes.
Training: back/arms (triceps mostly)
DIdn’t do a long warmup because I’m pretty loose after working for a few hours. Little stretching and got right to it.
BB bent over row @ 90, rest 60 sec between sets: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9, 8, 8, 10, 10; 95 reps for 8,550 lbs total lifted
Rested about 3-4 minutes.
BB standing OH triceps extension @ 48, 60 sec rest between sets: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9, 7; 96 reps for 4,608 lbs total lifted
For “accessory” work I did some CG pullups to hit the biceps, etc: 4, 3, 4, 4
Some stretching and yoga stuff, tractioned my spine by laying over a swiss ball for a while. In and out of the gym in about an hour.
Home to eat. Here it goes:
While I was cooking: some almonds, about 2 oz of reduced-fat cream cheese and a wedge of processed light swiss cheese (gran on Weight Watchers so this was in the fridge) on some yuppie gluten-free seed and rice crackers.
Dinner: Big bowl of whole wheat penne with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese, big bowl of steamed and lightly sauteed broccoli with olive oil and garlic.
For dessert/so that I can sleep during the night and hopefully not get up to eat: a shake with 1 cup skim milk, 2 scoops vanilla pp, 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 heaping tbsp of peanut butter, some ground cinnamon.
I’m currently working on a glass of bourbon. There is a half-bar of dark chocolate with chili on my nightstand that will likely be consumed sometime before morning.
thats a lot…do you mainly rely on dairy for your protein?
I eat more veggies than you ![]()
That’s a lot of sets. I don’t think I’d have the patience for that.
Nice photos. It’s frustrating because I have a similar amount of fat on my upper body but the hips, thighs and glutes are a disaster. Damn you, oestrogen!
heh. not really a ‘dirty 30’ more of a growing awareness of how my emotions / motivations which i always thought were inexplicable are cyclicly predictable. actually fairly scary for me to see just how much so. i love it how you go to bed with good chocolate. and now i’m hungry…
Hey Veggie, could you give a quick review of humapro? I read about it but would like to hear a user’s view on the product.

Matty- The stuff tastes good. Bought the Apple Cider flavor. Been on it for only 2 weeks, but I have not taken as much pp and haven’t had any noticeable strength or muscle loss. Good stuff from what I can tell. It has been a nice addition to the other proteins that I consume. I really like the idea of it… protein building blocks specific to human needs, but a fraction of the calories. Selfish, in a way, but I like to chew my calories. (With the exception of whisky.)

I eat more veggies than you :P
Depends on the day, but protein from eggs and supplements and gasp occasionally from soy(!) are big for me too.
As far as the veggies… I challenge you to eat a packed quart-size bag of raw kale. That is a shitload of kale. Also, probably about 3 cups of cooked broccoli. Just wait til CSA starts in June. I eat fresh, organic produce from a farm IN MY ZIPCODE and the daily volume is ridiculous.
Seriously, kudos on your veggie intake. People tend to not eat nearly enough.
I’m up for the challenge!
I’m having a head of cabbage w/lunch ![]()
Veggies FTW!!

So THAT is how you got dat ass!
1000% Agree. Few things give you bubble ass like sprints.
