Don’t cry Frenchie, I’ll see what I can do about a vid. My phone is on its last leg, so I’ll be getting a new one that takes decent vids soon.

x2 I’m struggling alot with these. Snapper suggested these would be good for my knee cave issues. But DAMN I suck at them.
I did diamond pushups today, thought of you whilst doing them - I love them btw ![]()
Damn, everyone did a leg workout. Makes me want to get back to the gym and keep up the pattern.
Nice ray of hope, I feel a sense of pride when I see one of the young gals at my gym practicing Oly. The guy who helps her did some GMs.
It was so much to take in.
Bre- You better get on the wax or something, Beast is due back to Germany pretty soon. I’m sure he would appreciate the gesture ![]()
Whysper, Nadia, N8tive- I love those hershey kiss/diamond pushups. Basically, I like any pushups. But those are nostalgic for me. Hadn’t done 'em in a while, but they’re back in the rotation. Killed my anterior delts!
Frenchie, Kimba- Will definitely work on a wall squat vid for y’all. And just because I do 'em, doesn’t mean that I’m really good at them… last night I was having an issue where my right knee was hitting the wall near the bottom. Because biomechanics and such are my biz, of course I started over-analyzing! Had to remind myself to just relax, do them, loosen up the hips, sit back, spread the floor… Oh, and I do them with arms extended overhead, shoulder blades retracted, pulling a piece of resistance tubing apart. That’s the way the coach had me do them and I like it, feels right.
Nikki- After the leg session that YOU did the other day, I think you’re good! And it is nice to see other people doing serious lifting in the commercial gym once in a while. I mean, there are a bunch of older PL dudes that are there sometimes, but nice to see some of the younger crowd doing that stuff.
Tonight’s training: Back/triceps
HS iso wide pulldown: 1x10x140, 3x8x160
HS high row: 1x10x140 (Freaking light!), 2x8x170
DB bench row: 5x6x70, each side (Was totally feeling a connection with my lats on these, so I did a bunch! Grip was awesome strong!)
Stretchers: 4x10x65? (Not sure on weight. Whatever, felt great.)
Dips, bw: 9, 9, 7
Standing OH BB triceps ext: 3x10x58
Skullcrushers on incline bench: 1x8x58, 2x10x58 (I did them on an incline 'cause I didn’t want to wait for a bench. Interesting difference.)
Triceps rope pushdown: 3x8x? (That stack is totally not marked. Didn’t matter, triceps were burnt by then. Did as many as I could, as heavy as I could.)
Done
I never do Skullcrushers Veg. I need to try. Nice training and I want to see your videos too.
I had to laugh when you mentioned the young guy doing beautiful squats and then some OLY stuff. I had NO appreciation for how much coordination, balance, strength, and control it takes to do some of these complex movements, until I started lifting. Now I do feel almost like I’m watching an artist when I see someone with a beautiful build lifting. It’s poetry in motion.
I’d love to see your wall squat vid, too. I would like to be wrong about concluding they are only possible for me with a sumo stance. There might be a mobility component or something that I’m lacking. Would much prefer that discover that than think that I can’t because of crappy levers.
Are you thinking of getting into powerlifting with your talk of gear? That would be cool. Love living powerlifting vicariously…
Awesome training in here Veg…and times 2 on the ODB, in fact Ill pop him in my ipod today, thanks!
Veg, you are an awesome person. I say that simply because of two things: that booty shot with the KB (Black Man’s Kryptonite), and the ODB vid. Damn, that song takes me back!!
Good work in here, as usual. Interesting stuff re: waxing.
And Bre needs not worry too much about the waxing. ![]()
I wish you worked out at my gym because I would LOVE to see you do this in person. For the eye candy, but also for motivation!
I’ll give the wall squats a try with the overhead situ. Can’t be worse than what I’ve got going on now.
Those are some damned heavy rows. Doing all that physical therapy must have given you hands like steel hawsers.

WARNING: This has nothing to do with my training.
I just finished what I consider to be an amazing act of athleticism; In particular it requires dedication, perseverance, mental fortitude, endurance, and above all FLEXIBILITY!
A brazilian. On myself. Yes. I’m not kidding.
Anyone else wax? Anyone else wax themselves? Just curious.[/quote]
I prefer to wax myself, but you win for pain! I just do the bikini line, my eyebrows, and then use a razor on everything else. Personally, it seems to hurt less when you do it yourself. Plus, I can’t justify paying someone over $15 to do what I can do myself for less than a dollar and most of the time I can do it better.
i am glad you posted on this, because i’d love to do it myself but don’t know what’s the best stuff to get!

Did you order me a microwave? Because at this point it would not surprise me. ![]()
Hi veg…still smooth??
Shit, I’m behind! lol!
Hmmm - I’m a razor gal myself. Tried waxing once, didn’t go too well and I gave up halfway through. I actually use two razors, one big multi-bladed one for the large areas and a single bladed one for the tight spots.
The Hershey Kiss/diamond push-ups - we always called them tiger eye push-ups in karate. More martial arts sounding I guess?
I love the kettlebell pic too! That would be a toughie to do TGUs with!
Hey Veg, do you have bands?..take a mini band, stand on it and loop the other end around the handle of the KB and then do the KB swings…I just learn this one a few weeks ago.
awesome heavy on the pulldowns and rows Veggie.
another Vixen with a killer sessions. Methinks spring is springing for many ![]()

That sounds brutal. Might try it out next time I want to do something but can’t get into the gym.
miniband does sound fun. i’m cursing that i didn’t order bands when i got my training plates… forgot about their many other uses than assisted pull ups.
