Anybody take a peak at this reality series on Oxygen, yeah I was cruising the remote and saw the show title so obviously I had to check it out. These chicks are intense and that Muaythai training looks hard as hell, lots of props to those women. It’s kinda cool but kinda cheesy at the same time. If you get a chance check it out, definently entertaining. I wouldn’t go out of my way to tune it in though.
EDIT:: My bad I thought it was a series, but I guess it was just a one time special. Not really sure but it was entertaining.
Neither the Americans or Thais had good defense. It’s like they worked hard on their kicks and punches and forgot about their head fakes, bobs and weaves, and arm blocks. It was frustrating to watch. They left themselves open for too many head shots. Subpar boxing skills most definitely.

I’m not a boxer but have had hand to hand combat training and even I know to keep my head defended. There were alot of solid head punches though. I thought that one chick was gonna drop from the clocking she took but she stood fast and pounded back. I do agree it was frustrating to watch as both oponents left their defense down.
I caught this last night too. Good stuff. The interesting thing to me was how nervous the American girls were. The Thais were ready to rock. Defense was definitely lacking on both sides, but the Thai girls looked like killers.

Bobs and weaves are a good way to catch a knee to the face.
I’m not going to claim to be an expert on kickboxing or boxing, but just in viewing I’ve seen very little head movement in Muay Thai or Kickboxing.
