if you read the nutritional info of any food, dietary fiber will be counted as carbs. but, if i recall correctly, i read once that the body does NOT digest fiber, just shuttles it through the body. if thats the case, if your eating something with say 18 carbs, of which 14 are dietary fiber according to the label, would that mean that be roughly equivalent to eating something else with only 4g of carbs?
