Fellow Trainees, Opinions?

I think a high GI drink like surge or chocolate milk would be better than just protein post workout. Or even bcaas, I don’t think just protein is doing as much as the others would, but its better than nothing. Surge is best, chocolate milk works if youre on a budget.

The shake before bed is a good idea if it is a weigh casein mix, or simply casein. To the best of my knowledge whey is useless before bed because of its fast digesting nature.

Protein shake when golfing? No problems, I think casein would be better here too (i have no knowledge on what youre using) since its being used as a “meal replacement” the slow digesting would be a good thing.

Personally I wouldn’t want to carry around liquid and would just bring some protein bars, but theres no reason a shake shouldnt work for that situation.
Thank you for those articles, iii read them tomoro, i havent got time now.
I know i need casein before bed, my protein is whey, iii have cash soon and casein protein will be the first thing iii be buying.

A protein bar when golfing could be done… Casein protein is defo needed… III sharpen up my knowledge of post workout nutrition when i read those articles, Thanks again brother

Seeing someone that big next to someone closer to average size is always amusing. Glad to hear he was friendly and actually had a conversation. Some pros are pretty big dicks when it comes to their fans. I always lose a bit of respect hearing about someone being an ass.
I know before i went over to him he’d be friendly. Ive seen interviews on youtube and i knew he was a cool guy!!! Ronnie is ment to be a sound out, every1 should follow wat Ronnie does, if Ronnie is cool to his fans, then you be cool to your fans :)… His accent is brilliant, bit of an arnold

Until you get casein shakes, you should probably buy some cottage cheese. It doesn’t taste the best, but its a great nighttime food.

I’ve heard of people doin this… If its a descent equilivant to the slow release of casein iii get some for now until i get the casein protein.

Cheers dude for that, when all the minor things are added up, they can have a huge difference.

in my opinion u need to eat more whole food, too many meal replacement drinks and bars

I understand what your saying, however to the best of my knowledge, a shake in the morning is best as it gets to your muscle much faster than whole food, you’ve gone the night without food and the muscles need the protein as soon as possible.

The shake when golfing is for convenience.

The shake before the gym is taken about 20 mins before workout, this is to have protein in my system while i train.

Shake after gym, again is for the fast delivery of protein to the broken down muscle!

Shake before bed… ??? Id rather have a shake than 150g chickhen.

This is only my knowledge, im open for recommendations to improve this
well you look great so it must be working, keep working hard and good luck!

Long story short, it took months of constant fighting with my dad before he let me use pure whey post-workout. Once I’m in college I’ll probably be living off of Biotest, but as of now, asking my dad if I can buy from Biotest for my protein needs would be just as effective as asking him if I could start a steroid cycle.

Up until recently I have been taking the same whey shake before going to bed, but then I read a few articles on here about the differences between slow and fast release proteins. Since a shake/supplement is out of question, do you know of any food that naturally contains slow digesting protein such as Micellar Casein?
yea youre small but your size is proportionate. the headband is awesome lol, i remember you posted before but it was just a gucci-esque ab shot, nice to see you took a more serious approach this time.

Have you been taking shots of olive oil lately?? Great progress man from last time. I see people are giving you much more respect this time. I remember last time people with shitty physiques were giving you huge flank for no apparent reason. I haven’t read the entire thread yet but you added on some nice size since the last time you posted. Keep staying positive and determined to make small healthy changes. You got much size to add but you’re headed in the right direction.

I love my headbands, but i gotta wear them anyway cause my hair is pretty long and as soon as i start sweating i dont want that sweaty fringe in my eyes

Sound man! Im pleased with my progress
I was using a tea spoon of e.v olive oil in nearly all my meals. Now i just put 2 tea spoons in my pasta that i eat throughout the day and im taking 3-4 fish oils a day.

Got money. Gettin casein protein in the morning

I must say your physique is impressive for your weight and the #'s you put up. Bench seems unproportionally high compared to deadlift and squat. How long have you been lifting? I’m at 5 months and we’re putting up similar numbers except on squat. I weigh a couple pounds more but don’t look as large. the advantage of several less inches height, i suppose.
You could work on your V-taper, back is a little lagging.

Lifting since september 06 to december 06, basically to put on some weight after i finished with athletics (i ran for 8 years).

Then until Janurary 08 i was in descent shape, i use do some runs here and there and do some ab work and press ups!

Then in Janurary 08, i said i wanted to get into absolutely fuckin amazing shape, and not just have a good chest and stomach! One of the best decisions ive ever made. I take it real serious and love it.

Id love my bench to be higher, and deadlift, however i believe its not the number your putting up, but the internal damage your doing!

Thread is as good as over and am pleased. Time to train and develop and eat super!

Took this pic last night and was super impressed with myself. Tri’s are one of my fav muscles to train, i say this for every muscle, but a bit more so with triceps.

Cant wait to grow and get bigger.

Lee priest like is wat im goin for. Love that guys legs and arms!
