Feet & Leg Position for Pull-Ups

This is the only way I can seem to squeeze my glutes when doing chest to bar pullups. My back arched but don’t know what to do with my feet

I wouldnt worry about it. I think people make too big a deal out of little things like that. As long as youre rattling off pullups and not getting hurt, put you legs and feet wherever they feel comfortable.

Why are you squeezing your glutes to do a pull-up?

I like to cross my feet, mainly because my bar is low enough I need to bend my legs.

Use them to hold a dumbbell.

I find that holding your feet/legs in different positions will change the exercise significantly, even if you pay attention to your torso position/angle relative to your arms as well. In other words, one example would be holding what is called the “hollow body position” will dramatically affect the engagement of your lats compared to just letting your feet hang without contraction. Also, another example would be if you were to keep an L-sit style position this too will change the exercise all together. I do a variety throughout my training week, and it has helped my overall body control whilst hanging from a bar, rings, or whatever.
