My understanding is that the body’s preference is for an alkaline state, and I am unfamiliar with any method it uses to add acidity to itself.
Beyound that, I can only say that I have used this method to cure my own illnesses quickly, and that I know some others do so as well.
I’ve also been afflicted with some respiratory crud (gotta love these Upper Midwest winters) for the last two weeks. I’ve found that the above the neck/below the neck rule metioned earlier works for me, and as such I’ve stayed out of the gym since New Year’s. I finally felt good enough to go back this morning. Sure, the weights I could use were off a bit (but not as much as I feared) and my endurance wasn’t 100%, but there’s something about that first workout after being sick that overrides all that. For me, it’s great to just feel human and vital again, and it really makes me appreciate being in good health overall, something that’s easy to take for granted.
