Thank you. I have been having similar dilemmas as the OP, and some of the posts here have been very helpful.
I think high school/college is the age when many have social and identity issues.
I know the last sentence made me sound like a pussy, but seriously, it’s sometimes hard to figure out where exactly you are going in life.

In my experience, college was worse for those who had very definite ideas about the way college should “work” (myself included). One doesn’t show up one day and get handed a dorm key, condom, and 10 new best friends. For some reason, people think that college will be “easier” than high school was. To some extent this is correct; the schools are usually larger and you have considerably more control over who you choose not to interact with. But people are people, and if no one liked you in high school, there’s no guarantee you’re going to find “your people” in college. If that’s what you want, you’ll have to work for it and seek it out, not wait for it to come to you as if by magic.
At the same time, consider whether or not your friends in high school were your friends mostly because of similar schedules and prolonged exposure. The sword cuts both ways; high school makes social relationships both easier and more difficult because of the enforced proximity.
It has been mentioned several times already that things have a way of working themselves out. We’ve all felt a little bit like the social retard at one point or another in our lives, but the important thing is that most of us got past those times…but I think it’s important that we don’t disclude the possibility that you really just suck and need to make major changes to your lifestyle/attitude so that others can be around you.
Your first post makes me think you’re someone who will work through this, your subsequent posts make me think you don’t have friends for a reason.

OP, I suggest you seek professional help. Meds may help but think long and hard before you start taking them. Check side effects and check to see if you can go off them without problems.
If you refuse to do that my advice is to chill out. Not everyone is out to get you.
