Sergey Fedosienko sets world record in squat, bench press, deadlift and total at the IPF Classic World Men’s Championships, South Africa, Potchefstroom on 01-08.06.2014 and wins the world championship.

Squat: 225,5 kg (497 lbs) - world record
Bench press: 165 kg (364 lbs) - world record
Deadlift: 270,5 kg (596 lbs) - world record
Total: 661 kg (1457 lbs) (579,90 wilks) - world record

That commentator was kind of strange

I could never compete in a atmosphere like that seems like the most boring thing in the world.

Guy is a freak though. Half my body weight and benching more than me.

None of his lifts even looked that hard. He was fast out of the hole on the squat.

The IPF “prim and proper” does turn some people off. I like it, but I can understand why some would rather something more upbeat and wild.

On Fedosienko…a 5’ tall Russian is pretty much the definition of the perfect powerlifter. I feel bad for his weight class.

From what I could understand, there was some issues with streaming using Google Hangouts and the YouTube service, while playing music at the event inbetween attempts. Because of copy-right issues, the stream would not work in all countries if music was played.

Normally though, there is plenty of music in between attempts, to make fill in the boring gaps.
