Shit, Aleksander is fighting too?! Damn…
I’m not holding my breath on that one due to his criminal history. He has a “not signed” asterisk next to his name too.
I have my doubts as well. But you never know…

I’m not sure how they arranged it, but he fought in Canada earlier this year. There are exceptions for sports/entertainment in Canada, something similar may be possible in the US.
I see Fedor dominating Sylvia. I tried to talk myself into the whole “Well Sylvia is big, hits hard, and is pretty hard to take down” argument, but no. I had kinda forgotten how great Fedor was until I rewatched Fedor v. Nog. Nog would try to clinch and Fedor would throw him off with one arm. Effortless. He would dance around and snap his head back with a jab at will. I see his power being too much for Tim. I think Fedor throws 1-2, clinch, takedown, ground and pound (insert pain here), then submission. Round 1.

At the press conference they announced that it is official: Aleks is fighting Buentello.

No fucking way Aleksander gets a visa.

They can announce whatever the hell they want, I won’t believe it until I see it. I will be surprised as hell if they can get a convicted member of organized crime with armed felonies on his record onto US soil without getting tasered and being on the wrong end of the butt stock of an MP5. Mark Hunt couldn’t get a visa for some misdemeanors.
Ok, so he’ll have to endure a little tasering and smacking around via rifle butt in the airport security side room. Big deal! Then he’s here and free to fight!
On a serious note, I have to think the promoters looked into the visa issue long and hard before they officially signed the fight. I hope so, anyway.

They could always have the event at Niagara Falls and Aleks could fight on the Canadian side…or have ring over the middle of the Falls (if FOX ever airs MMA live, they may just try it!)

Great then if one of his opponents gets rocked he can just run over to the US side to pull himself together lol.

(WAY off topic!)
I’ve been out of the loop for a long time, but I used to train a bit with Tim and Ben. Does Ben not fight on the Silverbacks IFL team anymore? I don’t even know if the IFL is still running
