We’re in college man. It’s still acceptable haha

I dont have any one favorite, but here are some beers I like:

Aas Bockoel. ( bockbeer )

Aas Bayer.

Pils( lager for you american/english guys ), any kind really.

Stouts. ( Guinness, Murphys, Beamish )

What I am not so found of is: IPA`s and American ales. Too much hops for my taste.

I like Westvleteren 12 so much I’m heading back to Brussels next year just to get some.

When not drinking in an Abbey, Coopers Sparkling Ale from Australia, Rochefort 10 from Belguim, and Unibroue’s Maudite from Canada would top the list. Though I do tend to drink a lot of Jack as well.

If you’re into pilsners (think Heineken) then try out Grolsch. 8 pints will set you back about $20, presumably a pretty happy $20 too.

Jim Beam and a six pack of Killians

Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout, almost any porter, New Belgium’s 1554 black ale, anything by Chimay or Ommegang

Guinness Extra Stout as my last resort since it can be found anywhere

Smith’s don’t fuck around. Their Old Engine Oil Porter, or something like that, is a knockout.

Jim, were men, men drink beer. Favorite beer? Guys these days drinking bud lights and bud light limes makes my testosterone drop. Troegs Imperial IPA. Best IPA out there check it out. But whats your favorite beer? whats everyones favorite beer?[/quote]

the beer flavored kind.

The Samuel Smith’s Taddy Porter may be what you’re thinking of… I had an “english oil” porter at a specialty bar in Austin, TX but I was plastered, so I can’t really tell you who made it or where it was from. But the Taddy Porter… I wish I could find it near me. When I lived in Charlotte it was at most grocery stores… here in Charleston it’s hard to find.

I like everything from pale, to malt forward scotch ale, to multi layered Belgians. But to me, nothing beats a good Russian Imperial Stout, the viscous kind that pours like dirty motor oil. Everything else just seems inhibited to a strong meaty stout.

Top three:

  1. North Coast Old Rasputin
  2. Victory Storm King
  3. Stone Imperial Russian Stout

Guinness Extra Stout has always been my go to and basis of comparison for all other stouts.

Sam Adams Octoberfest. But I’m a Jack Daniels man.

Ezra Brooks: 90 proof Jack at half the price.
