You may as well go full Mike Tuchscherer and do pause deadlifts. Mike likes to pause them about an inch or two off the ground. I can’t imagine they’d be bad for your strength off the floor.

So true. My food intake was pretty decent and I added in another 1200 calories in the form of chocolate milk and that was such a huge benefit to my training.
