Hello all,
This is my first post on T-Nation. A little bit of background.
-I played high school football (bench: 240, Squat: 365 ATG, Power clean: 220
-I boxed after high school. Went from 220 pounds to fight at 152 pounds, lost all of my
muscle
mass in the process.
-Spent 6 years basically doing nothing. Gained all of my weight back, lost all of my
strength
had a couple 2-3 week workout stints and slightly hurt my lower back/shoulder by being
stupid.
At 5-8", I want to get myself down to a lean, mean, strong 175 pounds so I can try to train in a combat sport again, most likely MMA. I had 2 amateur boxing matches and would like to fight again, but this time I won’t be lazy. I have been lifting for about 3 months now and have gained back a decent amount of strength.
My routine will basically be a 3-days-per-week full body routine. I am currently doing sets of 6 on all of my lifts, except for squat, which I do 3x5 everyday in basically a routine that is a modified starting strength program.
I will upload a pic and some of my lifts soon. I just wanted to get this first post up and rolling so I can begin my quest for elite fitness.
