I’m well on my way to attaining a better body, but I still have a ton of fat, mostly around the belly. What about this radical idea, I’m on the anabolic diet now, cutting phase, and I was just wondering about a hybrid between 2 diets. Take the fat fast for about 5-6 days, and then have that carb up day or 2 on the weekend. As far as structure goes, don’t the macro nutrients remain the same on the week days whether on the fast or anabolic? Would/could this produce more dramatic results. Thanks
Zarro, you’re talking about a CKD, Cyclical Ketogenic Diet. It’s low/virtually-no carbs during the week, just P+F, and a carb-up on the weekend. You would do your harder, more challenging workouts toward the beginning of the week when glycogen stores were highest.
People have gotten good results with the CKD. Do a serach on the 'Net for CKD with or without “Lyle McDonald.” You’ll get plenty of ideas on how to structure your diet.
Good luck to you, and if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
I’m really just wondering that if I stuck to it for about a 4 week time span, and than began to eat solid food on the week days again for another 4 weeks, and than tried it agian, would/does the evidence back it up, that I could stand to lose more fat/less muscle than just keeping to the anabolic diet. Thanks for your help.
Zarro, you owe it to yourself to experiment and see how your body responds. It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing or what they recommend. All that matters is what works for YOU and gets you results.
Good luck, and let us know how it works out for you.
I have to second what TT said. Give it a go. Even if I had done the exact thing you are thinking with great success it may not work @ all for you.
So give it a try. It would be interesting to hear your results.

I’m going to give it a go. Who knows what can happen.
