That was a great effort. I’ll be seeing that in my head for awhile as I set up to squat my tiny-weights.
I just saw that the SPF has now established in Iowa. WTF, is this the south will rise again kinda thing? Maybe we can meet up there and my geared total can meet your raw total…
i have a feeling it will be very necessary for us to compete in different divisions. your gear total will be MUCH higher than my raw total. but that would be awesome to finally meet up. I don’t know if they would allow to silver backs in though. i think there’s a one silver back maximum.
ha ha yeah, right now I am feeling very apprehensive about even forecasting my geared totals. But I think they might allow both of us in, I have been regularly applying Nair for Men tm onto my back to disguise myself. I think it is working.

Great fucking work on that squat. All I could think last weekend down in Illinois, doing those sets out of the monolift, is fuck, walk outs are for suckers. But the walk outs definitely build something that non-walkout squats don’t. Have you ever thought of getting a poor man’s mono? Since it is the way you compete, I think they run about $500. google crepinsek poor man’s monolift.

Man, Dave’s a beast on the rb squats, too. He’s not far behind you.

Are you looking at using them nasty blue bands the other direction at all? It’s different feeling altogether.

Mike Tuscherer has a pretty effective walkout on his squats, but it means he has to hold the bar longer. Pretty stable though. He logs on to YouTube as power275. You might check his raw squats out.

Great f’in job, cuddle bear.

Mike T is just an insane beast, period. Great great USAPL lifter. Have not looked at his book yet, but some are swearing by it. And he trains alone.

So the fed has a Primate class? What’s an elite total for that?

Be proud of what you are, Pete - there’s no shame in having brow ridges and hyperpilosity…

Happy when I googled hyperpilosity that it brought me to sci fi… I was wondering if there was a valid 10 cent word that I had never used before.

Elite total is same as equipped, but you just have to be willing to beat your chest and throw poop at the judges…

re: the 800;

dang

Nice freaking job. Great work.

Nice work meat, incredible as usual- the speed of the second lift is crazy.

Holy Hell meat! That is one sick squat.

Very nice. Looking stronger then ever. Glad the low back is behaving.

Crushed it! Nice job!

Awesome lifting Mr. Meat. That second effort was especially inspiring. I agree with Kimba, that will be good motivation for my own future, meager efforts.

You really let your friend off the hook by nailing that 2nd lift -imaging how bad he would’ve felt if you had missed it because you were tired from the first lift; I hope he bought you a raw slab of somethin’ somethin’ afterwards.

p.s. Congrats on getting Meatier, while less weightier.

thanks for all the support guys. i’m very happy with the progress on the reverse bands and am very glad i’m done with them for awhile. there’s something about band work that gets in there deep. i’m just all achey all over… not sore… achey.

i’m especially happy that i hit that 805 weighing all of 256. the last time i hit reverse band squats i was weighing in the 280’s and i maxed out at 745. I think if i added one more week i could hit 825 or so. but that ain’t gonna happen.

was supposed to be the last night of the reverse band bench. we all decided that we had pretty much hit our max last week. so, we moved on. we are now going to do paused floor press followed up with full ROM bench- touch and go. I plan to add 10lbs to each lift over a four week period.

floor press
0x10
135x6
225x4
315x2
405x1
495x1- this ties my all time best paused, straight leg floor press

bench press- touch and go
135x3
225x3
315x1
405x1
455x1
500x1x2- these were pretty easy. the vid is of the last set

dips- just going to stick with BW on these. to keep them consistent from week to week, we added a two second pause at the bottom.

BW X 20 x 2

that’s it.

Getting leaner and getting stronger, and PR’s
really nice work.
thanks for taking us to class.

thanks!! it was all i could do not to jump up in weight last night. but i have to remember that i have four weeks to attempt to make progress. I will be very happy if i end with a 530 floor press and a 530 bench.

thanks again… bodyweight 255 this morning.
