Are you serious about the ball?? He said that?? People don’t understand that docs and nurses really know very little about nutrition and sports.
Danjo on this forum is a PT. Maybe get his thoughts on your injury.
As cliche as it might sound, things like reverse hypers, GHRs, back extensions, ab work, etc really are what got me back. Never did much of them before.
Nice benching!!! I cannot believe they play Journey at your gym
I have a friend who had a bulging disc, who went to an ART type who sorted him out.
really worked, kid is pain free now.
I have some bulging and fused shit in my neck, not fun but you can work around it.
Im thinking of some art- I just cant find anyone who will take the insurance We are on.

Can you find an ART person who does chiro? They should be able to bill your insurance as a Chiro vist. Might be different for N’Yawk, but we can do that here on the Left Coast.
A couple of things I used to do relieve any compression was
drape myself face down over a stability ball and just roll back and forth murmuring “oh baby, oh baby”
put on a dip belt and hang from a pull-up bar. The lat pull down works, too, if your can keep your hip flexors slack.
hyper-ex hangs. Just get in and let yourself drape down. Make squeaking noises like a bat if people bug you for the bench.
Okay - that’s three rather than a couple. But find out if that’s contra indicated for your condition. Used to be painful as hell for me, but I think it opened up space in the vertebrae.
just kidding. the art/chiro sounds like a good idea. might help in other areas of your training, too.[/quote]
rub dirt on my pussy?? how did you find out about my fetish??
anyway… i’m so damn lazy but i’ll probably look into it. i’m really not concerned about it. it appears that any type of hyperextending of the back is what really irritates it, so i’m going to stay away from doing that for awhile. i can still do a ton of other stuff and i’m guessing my quads are really going to blow up now considering that front squats are going to be my bread and butter lower body movement for awhile:)

Def go the chiro/ART route, you will need somebody to work that disc back in for you. Otherwise it won’t get better.

seated cable row
120 x 10
200 x 10
stack x 20
drop set
stack x 15, 200 x 15, 120 x 30
lateral raises
25’s x 30 x 3- very little rest between sets
circuit
cybex preacher curl- one arm at a time - standing calf raise - seated calf raise
Nice dumbell presses Meat. Looking sexy too, lol. BTW I am guessing you are like me, you have so much ab development, and are so used to keeping ‘big air’ in your belly when you go for lifts, that even as your body fat drops you are going to still have a pronounced belly. Last time I really cut big time, and went down to upper 220s/lower 230s, when wearing a shirt and exerting myself I had that look of being a full time beer drinker in the mid section. Shirt off, or standing passive, relaxed, gone. Can kind of fuck with your head though as to where you are at with a body recomp/cut. We will never really look like Abercrobmie motels, dangit.

yep… i resemble that comment. i always look like i have a gut but you can see abs on me now. my obliques have a clear outline and they are thick as shit. unfortunately in clothes i look like i have a Dickdo. the price we pay for being strong… and not just looking that way.
