I don’t know whats more impressive, the insane amount of weight on the bar or how long you held it before droping into the hole.

Hey meat,
I see in the vids that you pull sumo. Do you find that your sumo pull helps the conventional and vice versa?
Or does it only go 1 way? More sumo helps the sumo, but not conventional?
Holee Sheet
I dont look in here for a week and HOLEE Sheet.
Meat that was some fine squatting and some fine benching.
Nice work- I watched that squat a few times- really really nice to watch.
great work.

thanks for noticing that i’ve been gone. i took my little girl to see her grandmother in Alabama this past week. we got back last night. It’s Africa hot down there. i don’t know how they live in that kind of heat. it’s definitely not fun.
It ain’t that bad. Well, most the time.

thanks hoss!!
Meat, so far so good on my new workout. The heavy lifting is really kicking my ass. I ache after every workout. But the numbers keep moving up. Also, I took your advice and have been drinking a couple(2-3) protein shakes a day which adds at least 100-150 extra grams of protein a day.

you are definitely on the right track bro. keep hitting the high protein, it will help you recover much faster and make you stronger.
if you are aching after the ME stuff start doing some of your accessory stuff circuit style. pick three movements. here’s an example, on bench day, after your ME bench variation i would take three movements such as dumbell cleans, neutral grip floor press and lateral raises. use very light weight and hit 20 reps on each lift. move from one lift to another as quick as possible. you will get one hell of a pump in your entire chest, shoulders and triceps. i find that i recover faster after this kind of stuff. once you are feeling better you could go back to a more traditional accessory rep and set scheme.
I’ll give it a try. Thanks.
RE bench- we are going to do a four week RE cycle for bench and squats… should be fun. i got one hell of a pump from tonight.
bench- warmup- full ROM- paused
0x10
135x10
225x6
315x4
405x2
475x1- 10lbs over last week. still felt pretty light and fast.
RE bench
375x10,10,11- these all felt really strong. each set i worked to hold my breath through as many reps as i could. i held it for 5 on the first, 6 on the second and 7 on the third. it really does help with rep sets… if you don’t pass out. my plan is to get 405 for 3 sets of 10 by the end of the cycle.
cybex tricep machine
drop set of three x some
standing calf raise
some x some
feels good to do some reps…
Reps? Over 5? Is this your version of cardio?
[quote]PeteS wrote:
