I often wish I were just a couple of inches shorter, with the same thickness. At a few hairs short of six feet I have just long enough arms for them to be a disadvantage in lifting, but not long enough to excel at something like boxing. Oh well.

My arms are long enough that they sure as hell dont help me with benching, but its an obvious advantage in deadlifting. :smiley:

dead night- we started a new deadlift cycle tonight. as a warmup we worked up to a heavy single. i tore something pretty bad in the arch of my foot benching this week. as a result, i couldn’t get the weight back on my heels. i’m still happy with the lift. i’ll keep adding 20lbs until i get to my true max.

FNA Meat, that is some great work. I saw something about Dinenzo recently tripling that same weight/band set up, and he is SHW with a 600+ raw bench. Can’t wait to see where your bench lands at SPF worlds.

i really need to start pausing my full ROM bench again. next week i’m going to start with my opener (465) and each week add weight. this will be part of my warmup for the band work.
