845x1-this set totally fried my hips. it’s very hard to get the hips through when the bands are pulling the bar away from you.

615x3- i was very happy with this set considering how fatigued i was from the reverse band work. every one of these sets felt heavy. to say i muscled this weight up is an understatement.
that’s all we did. i needed to get out on the Harley today… priorities:)

bench test night… of sorts. i’ve been going back and forth for the last few days trying to decide if i was going to go for a heavy single on bench or attempt to hit a rep PR with 495. I’ve hit 495 and above many times but i’ve never hit 495 for a double. finally tonight i hit it. the first rep was very easy and then on the second rep i flared early but recovered and muscled it up. if my form holds i think i’m good for a triple with 495. I also hit that magical 9th rep with 405. I’m finally back hitting all time PR’s. it feels damn good.

I’ve noticed the exact same thing doing skullcrusher/nosebreakers whatever variation I employ. But damn, everytime I do them heavy, my next bench session I have just that much more to give with my tris… classic love/hate
well… i’m back from my bike trip. lots of riding and eating. i just went up and weighed myself. i knew i put on a couple LBS because my jeans an t-shirst were feel’n a bit tight. i’m sitting at a slim 285 right now. damn… who would have guessed riding a bike would put all that “muscle” on me?
it must have been all those static contranctions holding onto the bike.
i’ll be back to the gym tomorrow. i’m think’n i might go for a heavy single on bench. just well use my new found bulk to move some weight.

back at it again. after a week off i was itching to get back at it. i started my next bench cycle tonight. i started off with full ROM. wanted to work up to a heavy single. decided on 520. unfortunately i lost it over my face. it came off my chest faster than i expected and i threw it back way before i should have. i know i’m good for at least 530-maybe even 540 right now. oh well… next time.
