Awesome lifting! Been looking over your thread and vids. Gonna try the alternating ME Squats/Deadlifts.Nice pull and it looks like you have plenty left too! Jimmy T[/quote]
thanks!! yeah… alternating between ME squats and deads is a good way to keep from driving yourself into the ground. i train that way when i’m getting ready for a full meet. typically my squat strength stays high but i have to constantly train deads to keep it up. I’m a natural squatter and bencher but deads have always been hard for me. I’m working my ass off to get mine up to 700.

Damn… here I am fashionably late to the party again!
Everybody… this man was introduced to me by Skid (via internet) a few months ago (July 2008 to be exact). He has been an invaluable, patient, inspirational and the driving force behind my (and many others) training.
I was at a crossroads in my life, and was trying to decide what to do and where to go with my training.
Meat grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and said… “Dude, go ye forth and lifteth heavy shite”. There was angels with trumpets blaring, small furry animals applauding and cavorting around my feet, dogs and cats sleeping together and this ray of sun poked through the clouds and warmed my genitals.
With the help, advice and guidance from Meat and a few others, and with out going into specifics… and bustin’ my ass… in the last 7 months I have gained over 100 pounds on my deadlift, 30 pounds on my bench and 75 pounds on my squat. I have also made arrangements to enter my first push/ pull meet at his urging.
Ladies and gentlemen… I give you… MEAT!!
Now c’mere and give me a hug you little T-Rex dood!

i don’t know if i should thank you or just cuddle up on the couch and spoon with you:)
you give me WAYYY too much credit though. you’ve done all the work. I’ve just given you some direction here and there. The drive to succeed is something you have or you don’t and you definitely have enough for a few people.
I would hug you but my t-rex arms wouldn’t go all the way around.

totally off topic, but i noticed that you actually have a picture of YOU as your avatar… are you crazy??? it’s supposed to be a comic book character or some chick in a bikini:)
i’ve noticed that a lot of people over here in “the home” actually have pictures of themselves…novel concept.

I was gonna put a piture of me in a bikini in my avatar… but it would have made people nauseous.
RE Squat- today was an excellent quad dominant day. if any of you powerlifters are looking for an excellent quad builder session that won’t effect your ME stuff… here it is.
step ups- approximately 7-8 inches of rise- all reps done with one leg at a time.
0x10
135x10
225x10
315x10
405x6
frog stance hack squats- these are a killer but they are one of the best movements for developing the quads near the knee.
0x10
2plates x 10x2
leg extensions
160 x 100 rest/pause
my thighs are shot but the rest of my body is good to go. will definitely be fully recovered to bench on monday.

yep… they are pretty brutal. you definitely don’t use much weight and you have to push the knees out hard to save them.

Yup, Spin the Black Circle over in Powerful Women.
Don’t believe a thing ouroboro says. She’s a cheap hussy, and Canadian.

I resent the cheap comment.
I’ll totally pimp your log though. It’s really only interesting if you like to read about strong women who are successful at their sport plus it has dorky videos.
