Mike, thanks for the congrats. Its actually tryouts for next season. Crazy its so many months before the season starts. The kids are playing spring lacross.

you are a mad man for doing that many reps with that much weight. anything over 5 reps is cardio to me.

I only squated for reps what you MP for reps. It did burn like hell though. After 225x30 I had to lie and roll around on the floor. But I couldn’t stay down there to long because my son needed a spot doing zerchers.

A lot better then I thought I would. Just my calves ache quite a bit. I hadn’t done any direct calf work in awhile. I’m hoping the high rep squats add some lean meat to my frame. I’ll try 325x20 next time.

That’s good. I can continue to whine then. Just out of curiousity, what was it that compelled you to do such a rep set? did you watch the death squat video one too many times?

Trying to depussify myself and do something different. Maybe I’ll video the next session. Also, I hope my quads blow up for shorts weather.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised that my ten year old has kept up with his workout program. He’s lifting 2 or 3 times a week. Been doing zerchers,back squats,pulldowns,bench,planks and MP. I was going to show him front squats but thought it might be to complicated. But yesterday without me telling him anything he unracked an empty bar and started front squating O-style. I’m hoping he sticks with lifting through the spring and summer. That along with lacrosse should have him in great shape for hockey next season.

Thats really cool Steve. Went and watched the nephew play lacrosse a while back. I wish they had that down here back when i was a kid.

Lacrosse is getting very popular. I’m excited to watch the kids play. I have not clue about rules or how fast the game moves. Should be fun.

If he’s like most boys, as soon as he see’s some bicep definition he’ll be hooked.
He’ll need to watch out for those 12 year old girls!

I have no idea what I’m doing. 20 reps squats and deads sounded good last week. Not sure what this week will bring. Wendler’s BBB has been on my mind lately.
