Bench with bands: 135x15, 5x185x6
Decline dumbbell presses: 4x50x12
Floorless floor presses: 4x185x12
CPG in the Smith: 4x155x12
I woke up this morning and my shoulder was noticeably less sore. I wanted to dive back in the weights but I held myself back. That made of a not real fun workout, but an adequate one. I’m sure when I return from this trip I will be raring to go back hard and get the 300lb bench press. I am going to a 4 day a week push / pull type of doo-hickey.
We have a busy day in store here. I have to run my daughter to the Gaming store. Little did I know she was saving her allowance for the new fancy dancy Nintendo thing that came out last night. I’m hoping shew will want to ride the Harley over their with me to pick it up. I have to go help my Dad open his beach box for the season. That is always a fun chore!
Hope y’all have a nice Sunday!
JW’s warped musing for the day: Is it true that cannibals don’t eat clowns because they taste funny?
Complexes from hell: 5 sets
Treadmill Interval: 20 minutes
I’m still doing the stiff leg dead lift, high pull, bent row, ohp, squat complex. It really kills me. I have 2 bars set up. I am thinking about adding a 3rd bar and increase the dead lift weight. It is all I can do to gut out the treadmill intervals. I need to pay more attention to my diet. My weight loss seems to be floundering of late. However, I am going to have to drill some more holes in my belt. I’m in the last loop.
I’ll try to do some type of complex / cardio hybrid training on my trip. Speaking of which, the wife and young’un had me eating all Asian food this weekend. Japanese, Chinese, and more Japanese. I guess they didn’t want me to fuel up on burgers, greasy hotdogs, and pizza before I leave.
JW’s random rambling of the day: The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.
Willy, have a safe trip. Give that meet some thought. You don’t have to do the full squat/dead/bench either. You could just do bench or bench/dead. Its a fun experience lifting in front of a cheering crowd. And you could meet up with Ironman there.

No training today. Woke up with a sore throat and my FM Radio DJ voice. Decided to take today off. Meeting tomorrow, so no trianing then either.
JW’s Random wondering: Why do croutons come in airtight packages? Aren’t they just stale bread to begin with?
Eat… drink… fluids and rest. Hope your feeling better.

Just outside my office door is the rural South. Its about a week early for the dogwoods to be in full bloom. It’s a shame I’ll miss the peak of the dogwoods this year.
Not a damn thing to do with weightlifting. I just wanted to share.
Squats in the Smith: 135x10, 2x205x5, 2x225x5, 2x245x5
Zercher Squat: 4x135x6
Leg raises on the decline bench: Sets of 25, 20, and 12
Since I took a couple of days off I decided to make up for lost time. Of course I’ll be good and sore for the airplane ride Saturday. Lots of cabin walking for me. I offered to buy a power rack for the gym if the owner would apply the cost to my membership. We will see how that works out. I’m not real hopeful.
My diet has been sucking hind tit lately. I think I have been stocking my taste buds up on American flavors. I know I will hit it hard when I return. I need to get on the stick to pull the weight off and drop some of these meds back.
The Ironman was talking about a meet in Charlotte. I checked my schedule and I know I can’t make it. The guy that runs the 100% Raw Federation trains and coaches locally. I think they have a meet in the Fall. I may look into that. I enjoyed officiating for Paul’s football teams, even if he did spend some time in my ear.
JW’s muddled musing for the day: Bills travel through the mail at twice the speed of checks.

Iknow, Iknow!
Mold.
Or beetles.
Mold or beetles, yup.
Hope you gets better soon.
I’m not a big crouton fan, but there’s nothing worse than mushy croutons. NC is now a humidity-free zone?
Front Raise in the smith: 4x95x10
Dumb bell row: 4x55x10
Lat pull down: 4x120x10
Face pulls: 4x40x15
Chest supported rows: 4x95x10
I tried to make today an all pull day. I think this is how it will be. I’ll probably insert some kind of power move in here as well. All in all an average workout. My shoulder didn?t hurt much at all. I’m sure I needed to let it alone for more rest, but I can’t stand the fact I missed 2 work outs already this week. For the next 2 weeks training will be spotty at best. I’ll do complexes and treadmill for sure to stay in maintenance mode. Its going to be tough tying to cipher all them kg’s to lbs. That comes extra hard when you are a math atheist like myself.
Busy day today, cut the grass, pack my crap, go for a Harley ride and pick up some lumber for a set of steps. I hope all of y’all have a safe and enjoyable Easter!
