first of all, can someone explain y beradi doesn’t advocate fasted morning cardio for strength athletes?
along those lines: how would the rules apply towards a bber training like a strength athlete?
One of my main goals is to have the strength of a powerlifter AND the leanness of a bber (a cutting bber that is). kinda like marius or Pavle Jovanovic (in beradi’s article on g-flux).
so in my case, training in the westside barbell fashion WITH fasted, low-intensity cardio is good or bad?
kudos for replies
I did it for 8 weeks and lost 22 pounds. BCAA’s and Creatine will be very useful for keeping your strength and size up during the cutting period. I also took HOT-ROX Extreme before my morning fasted walks.
but do u know y it isn’t recommended for strength athletes? i too enjoy doing fasted low-intensity cardio, but i also train for strength.
The only reason i did it was to drop a weight class for a competition I was doing. The cardio didn’t affect my strength at all during that time period. My gear got a little looser but not that much.
im not cutting right now, im bulking and have just stumbled upon this as a great way to keep my fat levels in check
oh and my original question still wasn’t answered: y does beradi not perscribe this method to strength athletes?
