Farmers Walk and Main Lifts

Good day brothers. I started to incorporate Farmers Walks in between sets of my main lift ie. bench, deads, squats, whatever it is that day.

My question and I am open to all advice is this:

Should I aim for heavier weight carried over a shorter distance or
Should I aim for medium weight over an extended walk?

please advise,

I would absolutely not do it in between sets of anything. Just do it afterwards or something. Like after squat or deadlifts.

I say go for lighter weight for longer walks.

Do it at the end of your workout as a finisher. Don’t overthink it - just pick up a weight and walk with it. If it’s heavy, you can’t walk as long.

In between sets sound like the worst place to do them.

Farmer’s walks of either distance or weight enough to actually achieve anything will affect your main lift. You wouldn’t actually be resting, in other words.

i know he said sets but i think he meant in between his lifts, meaning after bench, deadlift ext

No, he was referring to in-between sets, of “whatever main lift he is doing that day”…inferring one main lift per day
